Effects of microscopic pore structure heterogeneity on the distribution and morphology of remaining oil
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used micro-CT on four cores of different pore structures from Donghe sandstone reservoirs in the Tarim Basin to characterize the microscopic heterogeneity of pore structure, the flow of oil phase during displacement, and the morphology and distribution of remaining oil after displacement.

Features and imbibition mechanisms of Winsor I type surfactant solution in oil-wet porous media
TL;DR: The relationship between NaCl concentration and the phase change behavior of microemulsion of anionic surfactant was characterized by the salinity scan experiments in this paper, where two main mechanisms of WI solution enhancing imbibitions recovery in oil-wet porous media are the wetting phase drive and residual oil solubilization.

A numerical simulation model for multi-scale flow in tight oil reservoirs
Wenchao Fang,Wenchao Fang,Hanqiao Jiang,Junjian Li,Qing Wang,John Killough,Linkai Li,Yongcan Peng,Hanxu Yang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a discrete fracture model for multi-scale flow in large-scale fractured tight oil reservoirs is proposed considering the compressibility of reservoir rock and fluid, and the non-linear flow in the tight matrix.

Experiments on imbibition mechanisms of fractured reservoirs by microfluidic chips
TL;DR: In this paper, fracture-matrix microfluidic chips of different sizes, boundary conditions and wettability regulated by surface property modification were designed to research the imbibition mechanisms of oil-water, oil-surfactant solution and oil-Winsor III type surfactant solution.

Water-out performance and pattern of horizontal wells for marine sandstone reservoirs in Tarim Basin, NW China
TL;DR: In this article, the water-out performance and pattern of horizontal wells in Tarim marine sandstone reservoir were studied based on geological analysis, reservoir numerical simulation and production performance analysis.
