Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder with characteristics of increased blood glucose levels. White water therapy is a method of treatment and healing in handling diseases, especially for Diabetes Mellitus. Research Objectives To Determine whether There Is An Effect of Drinking Water Therapy on Blood Sugar Levels During Type II Diabetes Mellitus Patients in BumiayuKeacamatanWonomulyo Village PolewaliMandar District. This research method is an experiment with a design approach of One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design, a sample of 20 people with the determination of samples using purposive sampling. Data were obtained by interview using the AnovaRepeadte Test, with a significance level of p <0.005. Based on the results of the statistical test using repeated Anova test, it was obtained P value = 0,000 (α = 0,05), while the results of the Post Hoc analysis Paired Wise Comparison (Bonferroni) showed that there were significant differences in blood sugar levels when pre-test and Post-test H-14 . In other words, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted because there was an effect of drinking water therapy on blood sugar levels in Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients in Bumiayu Village, WonomulyoSubdistrict, PolewaliMandar District. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that Type II Diabetes Mellitus sufferers should routinely check blood sugar levels while and routinely take drinking water therapy.

Abstract Introduction: This is the second of two papers giving an overview of the use of Monte-Carlo techniques for radiotherapy applications. Methods: The first paper gave an introduction and introduced some of the codes that are available to the user wishing to model the different aspects of radiotherapy treatment. It also aims to serve as a useful companion to a curated collection of papers on Monte-Carlo that have been published in this journal. Results and Conclusions: This paper focuses on the application of Monte-Carlo to specific problems in radiotherapy. These include radiotherapy and imaging beam production, brachytherapy, phantom and patient dosimetry, detector modelling and track structure calculations for micro-dosimetry, nano-dosimetry and radiobiology.

Non-communicable diseases (NCD) are still a health problem in Indonesia in recent years. Non-communicable diseases often go undetected because no symptoms are found, so they are difficult to cure or will end in disability or death. There has been an epidemiological transition by shifting morbidity and mortality rates from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases at a young age. The Indonesian government has created a program to overcome the problem of NCDs with the existence of NCDs Posbindu aimed at people over 15 years old who are still healthy and people with NCDs. There is a need to provide information using poster media regarding NCDs and NCDs Posbindu problems in adolescent understanding to prevent and control NCDs now and in the future. This study aims to determine the effect of giving poster media on teenagers' interest in participating in Posbindu at Ambarawa 1 High School. The results of the analysis showed that there was an influence of poster media on teenagers' involve in participating in NCDs Posbindu (p:0,001). The results showed a decrease in the average interest of adolescents in participating in the NCDs Posbindu by 3.15. This happened because adolescents objected to the implementation of the NCDs Posbindu, which was held one a month. Adolescents need to know that participating in Posbindu is an effort to prevent and control NCDs in the future. The data can be provided through cooperation between schools and community health centers that can involve existing extracurriculars and provide a better understanding of the importance of NCDs prevention and control efforts to adolescents, teachers and parents. 

Pengaruh pemberian media poster kesehatan terhadap minat remaja mengikuti posbindu PTM

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada dunia pendidikan. Proses pendidikan yang awalnya dilakukan secara tatap muka telah bergeser menjadi pembelajaran daring. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa merasakan penurunan kemampuan belajarnya terutama dalam hal literasi. Siswa yang baru mulai belajar membaca di sekolah dasar dianjurkan untuk belajar di rumah secara daring bersama orang tuanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kategori kemampuan literasi siswa di SD Negeri 21 Pasir Tinggi, Kabupaten Agam. Orang tua siswa yang sebagian besar adalah karyawan PT AMP bekerja dari pukul 08.00 hingga 17.00 WIB, sehingga tidak bisa mendampingi siswanya saat belajar daring di rumah. 2 dari 10 orang tua/wali siswa juga menderita buta huruf. Pada malam hari, orang tua memilih untuk melakukan kegiatan lain untuk menambah penghasilan. Hal ini mengakibatkan sangat sedikitnya dukungan orang tua terhadap anak dalam kegiatan belajar. Akses internet juga menjadi pemicu keberhasilan e-learning, namun SD Negeri 21 wilayah Pasir Tinggi, merupakan salah satu daerah terpencil yang jaringan internetnya sulit. Oleh karena itu, untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes yang penulis amati pada tabel “Reading Observation Checklist”. Data penelitian yang diperlukan diambil dari seluruh siswa SD Negeri 21 Pasir Tinggi yang berjumlah 31 siswa dengan memperhatikan perilaku membaca siswa dalam 10 kali pertemuan. Hasil analisis kemampuan siswa menunjukkan bahwa 55% dari seluruh siswa di SD Negeri 21 Pasir Tinggi tidak menguasai membaca, sehingga sulit menerapkan pembelajaran sesuai tingkatannya.

Health education is an effort to create public behavior that is conducive to health. This study aims to investigate the correlation between health education and the level of knowledge of students about drugs in the SMK Pembangunan. This research method uses an analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. This research started in July 2021. The population in this study was 237 people, and the sample in this study was 70 respondents with Simple Random Sampling. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of this study were from 38 respondents with have health education, 15 respondents who have a low level of knowledge, and 23 respondents with a high level of knowledge. The results of the statistical test between health education and knowledge level of drugs with p-value = 0.28 (p ≤ 0.05), there is a significant correlation between health education and the level of knowledge about drugs in the SMK Pembangunan in 2021. This study concludes a significant correlation between health education and the level of knowledge about drugs at the SMA Pembangunan in 2021.

This paper discusses validity, practicality and effectiveness of computer-based learning media with interactive- tutorial model for medical physics subject in West Sumatera. The prototype was validated by six validators of learning media, language, and medical physics learning. Based on their suggestions, the prototype was revised. After revised, the prototype was tested to detemine practicality and effectiveness of the learning media. Questionnaires on practicality of learning media were filled by medical physics lecturers and students. The effectiveness of learning media was obtained from test sheets. It was obtained that: 1) computer-based learning media with interactive-tutorial model is valid in terms of the aspects of didactic, construction, and technique; 2) computer-based learning media with interactive-tutorial model is practical in terms of the aspects of time, usage, and equipment of learning media component; 3) computer-based learning media is effective.

Effectiveness of Computer-Based Learning Media with Interactive-Tutorial Model for Medical Physics Subject

This study is aimed at characterizing a single Cobalt-60 source capsule of the Gamma Knife Perfexion™ unit using the BEAMnrc Monte Carlo code. The Gamma Knife Perfexion™ source capsule was modeled using the BEAMnrc user code according to the manufacturer's technical details. The modeled parts include the source, the area around the source, and the capsule. The cylindrical source is 1 mm in diameter and 17 mm in length, with a physical density (ρ) of 8.9 × 103 kg/m3. The simulation parameters were an electron cutoff energy (ECUT) of 0.7 meV and photon cutoff energy (PCUT) of 0.01 meV. Energy fluence was calculated on a 0.25 cm diameter scoring plane located 3.1 cm from the source. Simulations were performed with and without the encapsulation of the source to investigate its effect on the spectrum and fluence of emitted gamma rays. The results showed that the influence of source encapsulation on the gamma rays is an increase in the relative number of particles in each energy bin of aggregate gamma rays by 92.36% at 0.23 meV energy and 66.12% at 1.10 meV energy. The secondary gamma rays were found to increase by 94.17% at 0.23 meV energy and 63.74% at 1.10 meV energy. The encapsulation of the source attenuated the gamma rays, which altered the spectrum. The mean energy of the beam increased, thereby exhibiting a beam-hardening effect.

Characterization of Gamma Knife Perfexion™ source based on Monte Carlo simulation

Diabetes Mellitus merupakan salah satu penyakit degeneratif yang jumlahnya akan terus meningkat dimasa yang akan datang. Terapi air putih terbukti bermanfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh salah satunya terhadap kadar gula darah pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh terapi air putih terhadap kadar gula darah pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baso tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan metode Quasy Eksperiment dengan rancangan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baso dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purpossive sampling. Jumlah responden yang dijadikan sampel sebanyak 12 orang yang mana terdiri dari 6 orang kelompok intervensi dan 6 orang kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis Paired Sampel Test dan Independent Sampel Test. Hasil uji statistik menyeluruh nilai p= 0,006 (p<0,05). Berdasakan hasil besarnya nilai p yang diperoleh maka disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh terapi air putih terhadap kadar gula darah pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2. Setelah penelitian ini diharapkan pasien hendaknya rutin mengkonsumsi air putih secara teratur setiap hari.
