Effect of green tea rich in γ-aminobutyric acid on blood pressure of Dahl salt-sensitive rats
Yasuhiko Abe,Satoshi Umemura,Koh-ichi Sugimoto,Nobuhito Hirawa,Yoshio Kato,Nobuyuki Yokoyama,Tomoko Yokoyama,Junichi Iwai,Masao Ishii +8 more
TL;DR: This study investigated the antihypertensive effect of green tea rich in GABA (GABA-rich tea) in young and old Dahl salt-sensitive (S) rats and found blood pressure was significantly decreased in group G, which is known to be involved in the regulation of blood pressure.

Regional myocardial substrate uptake in hypertensive rats: a quantitative autoradiographic measurement.
Yonekura Y,A.B. Brill,Peter M. Som,Yamamoto K,Suresh C. Srivastava,Junichi Iwai,David R. Elmaleh,E. Livni,H W Strauss,M.M. Goodman +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that severe hypertension is associated with uniform myocardial perfusion and focal alterations in the substrates used for the performance of myocardIAL work.

Boron neutron-capture therapy (BNCT) for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) using the epithermal neutron beam at the Brookhaven National Laboratory
Manjeet Chadha,Jacek Capala,Jeffrey A. Coderre,Eric H. Elowitz,Junichi Iwai,Darrel D. Joel,Hungyuan B. Liu,Lucian Wielopolski,Arjun D. Chanana +8 more
TL;DR: It is feasible to safely deliver a single fraction of BPA-based BNCT in patients with GBM and, at the dose prescribed, the patients did not experience any morbidity, according to a Phase I/II trial.

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy for Glioblastoma Multiforme
A. Z. Diaz,A. Z. Diaz,Arjun D. Chanana,Jacek Capala,Manjeet Chadha,Jeffrey A. Coderre,Eric H. Elowitz,Junichi Iwai,Darrel D. Joel,Hungyan B. Liu,Ruimei Ma,Noreen Pendzick,Nancy S. Peress,Magdy S. Shady,Daniel N. Slatkin,George W. Tyson,Lucian Wielopolski +16 more
- 01 Jan 2001
TL;DR: The BNCT is a promising and possibly curative method of treating GBM, but at present this procedure is far from perfect because of the lack of selectivity of the boron carriers.
