A novel virtual machine deployment algorithm with energy efficiency in cloud computing
TL;DR: The results of simulation indicate that, as compared with single threshold (ST) algorithm and minimization of migrations (MM) algorithm, MIMT significantly improves the energy efficiency in data centers.
62
Energy-efficient virtual machine consolidation algorithm in cloud data centers
TL;DR: Experimental results show that, in contrast to other energy-saving algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this work significantly reduces the energy consumption and maintains low service level agreement (SLA) violations.
31
Fiber for recycled aggregate concrete reinforcement: a review
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show that the use of polypropylene (PP) fibers, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers and basalt fibers (BF) can obviously increase the flexural and split-tensile strength of RAC.
4
An energy conservation replica placement strategy for Dynamo
TL;DR: A new policy is designed instead of the consistent hashing policy which is a combination of consistent hashing and sequential policy that divides the nodes into groups and allows each other to be mirror modes so it can find the full coverage subset of data items easily.

Eutectic composition titanium metal matrix composites for laser powder bed fusion via surface remelt analyses
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors performed laser line scans and surface remelts of arc-melted Ti-0.38C, Ti 1.67B, Ti 8.5Si and Ti 32.5Fe wt-% eutectic compositions to assess potential material amenability to the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process at low cost as well as determining the nanostructure and hardness properties.
