TL;DR: It was shown that both leaf litter diversity and soil microbial diversity independently contributed to explain multiple ecosystem functions, and fungus community composition was especially important for supporting ecosystem multifunctionality (EMF), plant production, litter decomposition, and activity of soil phosphatase.
