TL;DR: Clinical and molecular characteristics of K. pneumoniae bloodstream infections from hospitals across Japan were analyzed by a review of the medical records and revealed that patients with hvKp infections had higher proportions of diabetes mellitus, and their infections had significantly higher propensity to involve pneumonia.

Moraxella osloensis: an unusual cause of central venous catheter infection in a cancer patient.
TL;DR: A 67-year-old Japanese man with advanced cancer of the pancreatic head and multiple liver metastases who developed fever with chills is reported, with Prompt control of the infection achieved by treatment with cefepime for 14 days, without the need for removal of the central venous catheter.
