Linear gas generant and filter structure for gas generator
Kazuo Higashinagaya Chome Kishi,Jun Kato +1 more
- 09 Feb 1995
TL;DR: In this paper, a linear gas generant is used in an air bag restraint system, which is produced by winding a continuous high-tensile-strength fiber bundle or yarn at a predetermined pitch around an outer surface of a member (a gas generation member) comprising ignition means and gas generation means actuated by the ignition means.

Air bag type rider-protective device
Kazuo Higashinagaya Chome Kishi,Jun Kato +1 more
- 25 Apr 1991
TL;DR: An air bag type rider-protective device, which is free of trouble even when a minute quantity of substances in the form of fine particles are discharged outside from a gas generator on account of insufficient filtration resulting from reduction in size and weight of a filtering device in the gas generator, is in the structure of absorbing impact on the human body while emitting a part of gas generated by the generator incorporated into the device as mentioned in this paper.
