Long persistence of EV71 specific nucleotides in respiratory and feces samples of the patients with Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease after recovery
Jun Han,Xue-Jun Ma,Jun-Feng Wan,Ying-Hui Liu,Yan-Ling Han,Cao Chen,Chan Tian,Chen Gao,Miao Wang,Xiao-Ping Dong +9 more
TL;DR: EV71 shedding from respiratory tract may continue for nearly four weeks after onset, but its excretion through feces can persist more than five weeks.

The N-terminus of PrP is responsible for interacting with tubulin and fCJD related PrP mutants possess stronger inhibitive effect on microtubule assembly in vitro.
Chenfang Dong,Song Shi,Xiao-Fan Wang,Run An,Ping Li,Jian-Ming Chen,Xin Wang,Gui-Rong Wang,Bing Shan,Bao-Yun Zhang,Jun Han,Xiao-Ping Dong +11 more
TL;DR: The molecular interaction between PrP and tubulin was confirmed using pull-down assays, immunoprecipitation and ELISA and the familial Cruetzfeldt Jacob disease related PrP mutants with inserted or deleted octapeptide repeats showed much stronger inhibitive capacities on the microtubule dynamics in vitro than wild-type PrP.

Heat shock protein 104 inhibited the fibrillization of prion peptide 106-126 and disassembled prion peptide 106-126 fibrils in vitro.
Ying-Hui Liu,Yan-Ling Han,Yan-Ling Han,Juan Song,Juan Song,Ying Wang,Ying Wang,Yuan-Yuan Jing,Qi Shi,Chan Tian,Zhao-Yun Wang,Chao-Ping Li,Jun Han,Xiao-Ping Dong +13 more
TL;DR: It is found that the recombinant yeast-derived molecular chaperon Hsp104 inhibited significantly the fibril assembly of the synthetic PrP106-126 peptide by dynamic ThT assays in vitro.

Surveillance for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in China from 2006 to 2007
Qi Shi,Chen Gao,Wei Zhou,Bao-Yun Zhang,Jian-Ming Chen,Chan Tian,Hui-Ying Jiang,Jun Han,Ni-Juan Xiang,Xiaofang Wang,Yong-Jun Gao,Xiao-Ping Dong +11 more
TL;DR: Chinese CJD patients possessed similar epidemiological and clinical characteristics as worldwide.
Clinical, histopathological and genetic studies in a family with fatal familial insomnia.
Xiao-Hong Shi,Jun Han,Jin Zhang,Qi Shi,Jian-Ming Chen,Shengli Xia,Zhiqiang Xie,Xiao-Jing Shen,Bing Shan,Yan-Jun Lei,Song Shi,Wei Zhou,Bao-Yun Zhang,Chen Gao,Ying-Hui Liu,Juan Song,Yan-Jun Guo,De-Xin Wang,Bianli Xu,Xiao-Ping Dong +19 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the pedigree of this family has led to the identification of an additional 9 family members who had similar clinical symptoms and 9 currently healthy individuals with the D178N mutation.
