Multimode Vortex Lasing from Dye–TiO2 Lattices via Bound States in the Continuum
Zhenshan Zhai,Zhuang Li,Yixuan Du,Xin Gan,Linye He,Xiaotian Zhang,Yufeng Zhou,Jun Guan,Yangjian Cai,Xianyu Ao +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , three out of the four supported BIC modes in 2D square lattices of dye-covered TiO2 nanoparticles can lase simultaneously under pulsed pumping, while the remaining one can be tuned into the gain bandwidth by adjusting the nanoparticle size.

Unidirectional Lasing from Mirror-Coupled Dielectric Lattices.
Guanyue Zhao,Xinyu Gao,Yufeng Zhou,Mengyuan Song,Yixuan Du,Zhuang Li,Jun Guan,Yangjian Cai,Xianyu Ao +8 more
- 08 Mar 2024
TL;DR: High-quality lattice resonances and unidirectional lasing from mirror-coupled dielectric lattices. The enhanced electromagnetic fields are concentrated in the cladding of the periodic dielectric structures and away from the metal.

Large-Area Perovskite Nanocrystal Metasurfaces for Direction-Tunable Lasing.
Nanli Mou,Bing Tang,Bowen Han,Jingyue Yu,Delin Zhang,Zichun Bai,Mou Zhong,Biye Xie,Shikai Deng,Andrey L. Rogach,Jingtian Hu,Jun Guan +11 more
- 25 Sep 2024
TL;DR: Researchers developed large-area perovskite nanocrystal metasurfaces that enable direction-tunable lasing through engineered emission angles, achieved by designing band-edge photonic modes and adjusting PNC thickness, with potential applications in optical antennas, 3D displays, and visible light communication.
