MX2: a high-flux undulator microfocus beamline serving both the chemical and macromolecular crystallography communities at the Australian Synchrotron
David Aragão,Jun Aishima,Jun Aishima,Hima Cherukuvada,Robert Clarken,Mark Clift,Nathan Cowieson,Daniel J. Ericsson,Christine L. Gee,Christine L. Gee,S. Macedo,Nathan Mudie,Santosh Panjikar,Jason R. Price,Alan Riboldi-Tunnicliffe,Robert Rostan,Rachel M. Williamson,Tom T. Caradoc-Davies +17 more
TL;DR: A microfocus macromolecular crystallography beamline at the Australian Synchrotron is presented.

Mark Basham,Jacob Filik,Michael T. Wharmby,Peter Chang,Baha El Kassaby,Matthew Gerring,Jun Aishima,Karl Levik,Bill C. A. Pulford,Irakli Sikharulidze,Duncan Sneddon,Matthew Webber,Sarnjeet S. Dhesi,Francesco Maccherozzi,Olof Svensson,Sandor Brockhauser,Gabor Náray,Alun W. Ashton +17 more
TL;DR: DAWN is a generic data analysis software platform developed for use at synchrotron beamlines for data visualization and analysis that is suitable for use in a range of scientific and engineering applications.
In situ macromolecular crystallography using microbeams.

A Hoogsteen base pair embedded in undistorted B-DNA
Jun Aishima,Rossitza K. Gitti,Rossitza K. Gitti,Joyce E. Noah,Hin Hark Gan,Hin Hark Gan,Tamar Schlick,Tamar Schlick,Cynthia Wolberger +8 more
TL;DR: The observation of a Hoogsteen base pair embedded within undistorted, unmodified B-DNA raises the possibility that Hoogssteen base pairs could occur within duplex DNA and play a hitherto unrecognized role in transcription, replication and other cellular processes.
High-speed crystal detection and characterization using a fast-readout detector
Jun Aishima,Robin L. Owen,Danny Axford,E. L. Shepherd,Graeme Winter,Karl Levik,Paul Gibbons,Alun W. Ashton,Gwyndaf Evans +8 more
TL;DR: A grid-scan tool that enables rapid characterization of large sample volumes using a microfocused X-ray beam and a fast-readout detector is reported.
