Short-time Viterbi for online HMM decoding: Evaluation on a real-time phone recognition task
Julien Bloit,Xavier Rodet +1 more
- 12 May 2008
TL;DR: This paper presents the implementation of an online HMM decoding process that derives an online version of the Viterbi algorithm on successive variable length windows, iteratively storing portions of the optimal state path.
Towards morphological sound description using segmental models
Julien Bloit,Nicolas Rasamimanana,Frédéric Bevilacqua +2 more
- 01 Sep 2009
TL;DR: This work presents an approach to model the temporal evolution of audio descriptors using Segmental Models, which allows to segment a signal as a sequence of primitives, constituted by a set of trajectories defined by the user.

Modeling and segmentation of audio descriptor profiles with segmental models
TL;DR: The results show that the segmental model can segment and recognize these different musical elements with a satisfactory level on a dataset made of violin recording containing crescendo/decrescende, glissando and sforzando.

The urban musical game: using sport balls as musical interfaces
Nicolas Rasamimanana,Frédéric Bevilacqua,Julien Bloit,Norbert Schnell,Emmanuel Fléty,Andrea Cera,Uros Petrevski,Jean-Louis Frechin +7 more
- 05 May 2012
TL;DR: An installation using augmented sports balls to manipulate and transform an interactive music environment based on playing techniques borrowed from traditional music instruments and applied here to non musical objects.
