The purposes of this study were to investigate difference on recognition, preference, satisfaction and pos- session of functional textile clothing in psychological comfort groups according to gender and age of the elderly and sug- gest optimal physical, mental and healthy functional textiles for the elderly. The data was collected from 262 respondents in their age of over 55, who lived in Busan. SPSS 21.0 was used and t-test, cross tabulation analysis, frequency analysis, and descriptive analysis were performed for analysis. The results are as follows. First, high groups of psychological com- fort for both gender and age of the elderly showed higher recognition and preference of functional textiles, especially in the high groups of the new silver generation and women. Second, the high groups of psychological comfort for both gen- der and age of the elderly showed higher satisfaction of functional textiles. However, it was lower than preference of func- tional textiles. Last, the possession of major clothing function over all the elderly was comfort, fitting·motion adaptability, and health·safety function in order. Low groups of psychological comfort possessed fitting·motion adaptability textile cloth- ing more than the high groups, and the high groups of psychological comfort possessed comfort and health·safety textile clothing more than low groups. In conclusion, this research showed the importance of functional textiles for the elderly in terms of psychological comfort as well as the need for healthy·comfort textiles for the advanced activities of daily life.

A study on Recognition and Preference of Healthy and Functional Textile according to Psychological Comfort of the Silver Generation

This study defined the pre-elderly as middle age people from 50 to 59. Because it is difficult to produce a design to satisfy the preelderly without deeply understanding them, their financial and physical characteristics and persona-based scenario method was studied. An experimental study about persona based scenario method was conducted, and as a result, the types of personas found were as follows: 1) Users enjoy the same games online and offline. 2) Users enjoy playing alone on the computer. 3) Users prefer games that end quickly with win or loss. Writing the situation scenario for each type, the pre-elderly"s problems and needs occurring while they play web board games were obtained. The obtained user requests were as follows: users would like the level of difficulty to be simpler in the game of baduk; users wanted unlimited credit and refrainment from using English words in go-Stop; and there were simple comments about game screen design.

The Use of Persona Based Scenario Method for the Development of Web Board Game for the Pre-elderly

This study, in the perspective of universal design, newly suggests UD-WCAG 2013 for the evaluation of job information sites used by the silver generation. Using this, 13 senior clubs run by social welfare corporations chosen by the central and local government for the silver generation job information provision organizations to analyze the compliance status of web accessibility. The web compliance status analysis was done through a self-assessment tool from Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity and Promotion and UD-WCAG 2013. Although both analyses showed that there weren’t differences according to region, the general level of compliance was shown as low. In the UD-WCAG 2013’s 7 major categories the part about errors was shown providing appropriate solutions, but in the other parts it was shown that the all 13 websites were being run with insufficient consideration of the social and physical characteristics of the silver generation. Web Accessibility Compliance Status Analysis of Silver Generation Job Information Sites

Baby boomers who have rebuilt the Korean economy over the last half a century are now transitioning into a silver generation who are over 65 years of age. New silver consumers are qualitatively and quantitatively different from the previous generation and are considered to be ‘the single most consumption-leading generation.’ The number of new silver consumers using department stores and traditional markets has increased. SPSS ver. 21.0 was used with the methods of frequency analysis, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), device master record test, and regression analysis. This research studies consumer satisfaction of new silver consumers on department stores and traditional markets among retailing. The improvement of the parking environment is the most urgent issue for traditional markets because the long-term assessments of parking areas indicate that it is necessary to provide improved convenience for consumers. Salesman satisfaction has improved and consumer satisfaction ranks salesman satisfaction high for traditional markets; however, price satisfaction is low and the distribution system should be improved to supply products at a lower price. Salesman and price satisfaction should be improved at depart stores. Traditional markets should also promote consumer satisfaction through consistent management to make consumers trust information in regards to quality control and production and distribution; in addition, department stores should increase consumer satisfaction by maintaining store systems such as product diversification and display, cleanness, and atmosphere.

최근 50세 이상의 젊은 노년층인 뉴실버세대가 전 세계적으로 부각되고 있다. 따라서 미래의 영향력 있는 소비집단으로 예상되는 뉴실버세대의 색채감성 커뮤니케이션에 관한 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구 에서는 뉴실버 관련 사이트와 광고를 통해 추출된 12쌍의 형용사와 Hue & Tone 60색상에 대한 상관관계를 조사하기 위해 서울 거주 지역 뉴실버 100명을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 설문결과 뉴실버세대들에게 감성을 느끼게 하는 색채는 고명도 고채도의 색채 였으며, 한색계열보다 난색계열에 더 높은 감성인지도를 보였다. 또한 뉴실버세대의 색채 감각과 특성은 문화적 맥락 속에서 교육이나 훈련에 의해 습득가능한 것으로 조사되었다.
