Dynamics of the thiol status of rat spermatozoa during maturation: analysis with the fluorescent labeling agent monobromobimane.
TL;DR: The fluorescent thiol-labeling agent monobromobimane was used to determine the changes occurring in thiols and disulfides in rat sperm heads and tails during maturation, and electrophoresis revealed that oxidation ofThiols to disulfide occurred in many protein fractions During maturation in the epididymis.

Thiol-disulfide status of human sperm proteins.
TL;DR: The thiol-disulfide status in proteins of human spermatozoa categorized as normozoos permic, teratozoospermic and asthenozoospermic was examined and it was showed that normal sperm count, morphology and motility samples contained both SH and SS, with more SS than SH.
Sperm analysis by flow cytometry using the fluorescent thiol labeling agent monobromobimane
TL;DR: FCM analysis of bimanelabeled spermatozoa offers a convenient method for the study of sperm thiol–disulfide status and permits detection of sperm subpopulations within an individual sample.

Effects of caput ligation on rat sperm and epididymis: protein thiols and fertilizing ability.
TL;DR: Sperm thiol oxidation, along with the development of fertilizing ability, can occur in sperm without necessity for sperm transit through the corpus and cauda epididymidis.
Thiol status in human sperm.
TL;DR: The relationship between the thiol–disulfide status of human spermatozoa and routine semen analysis parameters and routine sperm parameters or fertilizing capacity in vitro was examined using a specific fluorescent probe, monobromobimane.
