Cytological changes and alterations in polyamine contents induced by cadmium in tobacco BY-2 cells
Andrea Kuthanova,Lenka Gemperlová,Sylva Zelenková,Josef Eder,Ivana Macháčková,Zdeněk Opatrný,Milena Cvikrová +6 more
TL;DR: Changes in cell viability, proliferation, cell and nuclear morphology including nuclear and DNA fragmentation induced by 0.05 and 1 mM CdSO4 (Cd2+) in tobacco BY-2 cell line were studied and the participation of PA conjugation with hydroxycinnamic acids and PA oxidative deamination in maintaining of free PA levels in By-2 cells under Cd2+-induced oxidative stress is discussed.

Research article Transgenic ipt tobacco overproducing cytokinins overaccumulates phenolic compounds during in vitro growth
Renáta Schnablová,Anna Vičánková,Josef Eder +2 more
- 01 Jan 2006
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present evidence that overproduction of endogenous cytokinins (CK) caused stress response in non-rooting Pssu-ipt transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) grown in vitro.

Transgenic ipt tobacco overproducing cytokinins overaccumulates phenolic compounds during in vitro growth.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that overproduction of endogenous cytokinins (CK) caused stress response in non-rooting Pssu-ipt transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) grown in vitro by overaccumulation of phenolic compounds, synthesis of pathogenesis related proteins (PR proteins), and increase in peroxidase activities.

Photoperiodic control of growth, development and phytohormone balance in Solanum tuberosum
Ivana Macháčková,T. N. Konstantinova,Lidiya I. Sergeeva,V. N. Lozhnikova,S. A. Golyanovskaya,Natalia D. Dudko,Josef Eder,N. P. Aksenova +7 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the effect of photoperiod on tuber formation and development may be mediated byPhotoperiod-induced changes in hormone levels.

Possible involvement of abscisic acid, ethylene and phenolic acids in potato tuber dormancy
TL;DR: Changes in ethylene production, contents of abscisic (ABA) and phenolic acids were determined in the course of dormancy, prolonged dormancy and sprouting in bud meristems of control tubers and tubers from 2-chlorethylphosphonic (CEPA)-treated plants.
