DFT study on the reaction of O2 dissociation catalyzed by gold surfaces doped with transition metal atoms
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of doping a gold model surface with atoms of other transition metals on the catalysis of the reaction of oxygen dissociation was investigated and the results indicated that O2 dissociation is possible at normal conditions on these bimetallic surfaces, which is very relevant not only for the oxidation of CO to CO2 but for other oxidation reactions.

Energetic studies of two oxygen heterocyclic compounds Xanthone and tetrahydro-γ-pyrone
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental thermochemical study supported by state-of-the-art calculations of two heterocyclic compounds containing oxygen in the ring: xanthone and tetrahydro-γ-pyrone.

DFT study of the Au(3 2 1) surface reconstruction by consecutive deposition of oxygen atoms
TL;DR: In this article, the spin polarized density functional theory within the GGA/PW91 exchange-correlation functional was applied to analyze the consecutive deposition of oxygen atoms on the Au(3,2,1) surface.

Experimental and computational studies on the molecular energetics of chlorobenzophenones.
TL;DR: The standard molar enthalpies of formation of all the compounds, in the gaseous phase, Delta(f)H(m)degrees (g), at T = 298.15 K, were derived from the Clausius-Clapeyron equation, from the temperature dependence of the vapor pressures of these compounds, measured by the Knudsen-effusion technique.

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of PEEK thickness on the friction and wear behavior of veneering PEEK to Ti6Al4V structures was studied under reciprocating sliding conditions against an alumina counterbody immersed in artificial saliva at 37°C.
