Correlation between phase stiffness and condensation energy across the non-Fermi to Fermi-liquid crossover in the Yukawa-Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model on a lattice
D. Valentinis,Gian Andrea Inkof,Jörg Schmalian +2 more
- 25 Feb 2023
TL;DR: In this paper , a lattice generalization of the Yukawa-Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model is presented, where spinful fermions experience on-site, random, all-to-all interactions with an Einstein bosonic mode, and random intersite coherent hopping.

Superconductivity in charge Kondo systems
Maxim Dzero,Jörg Schmalian +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a theory for superconductivity and charge Kondo fluctuations for Tl-doped PbTe, and show that Tl is very special as it first supplies a certain amount of charge carriers to the pbTe-valence band and then puts itself into a self-tuned resonant state to yield a new, robust pairing mechanism for these carriers.
Tracing the Electronic Pairing Glue in Unconventional Superconductors via Inelastic Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the inclusion of inelastic tunnel events is crucial for the interpretation of tunneling spectra of unconventional superconductors and allows us to directly probe electronic and bosonic excitations via scanning tunneling microscopy.
Critical spin fluctuations and the origin of nematic order in Ba(Fe1-xCox)2As2
F. Kretzschmar,T. Böhm,Una Karahasanovic,B. Muschler,B. Muschler,Andreas Baum,Daniel Jost,Jörg Schmalian,Sergio Caprara,Marco Grilli,C. Di Castro,James Analytis,James Analytis,James Analytis,Jiun-Haw Chu,Jiun-Haw Chu,Ian R. Fisher,Ian R. Fisher,Rudi Hackl +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, inelastic Raman scattering is used to probe the critical spin fluctuations in an iron pnictide superconductor, providing insights into the origin of nematic order in this system.
Integer and fractionalized vortex lattices and off-diagonal long-range order
M. Rampp,Jörg Schmalian +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the implication of off-diagonal long-range order (ODLRO) for inhomogeneous periodic field configurations and multi-component order parameters was analyzed and it was shown that the only static, periodic field configuration consistent with ODLRO is a vortex lattice with integer flux in units of the flux quantum in each unit cell.
