TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluate the similarities and differences between the United States and Canada in terms of their governance practices compared to the U.S. executive compensation and conclude that there are three mistakes that can be made in executive compensation determination revolve around paying too much, paying too little, or paying in the wrong way.
