TL;DR: It is demonstrated that ultradian hormone stimulation induces cyclic GR-mediated transcriptional regulation, or gene pulsing, both in cultured cells and in animal models, indicating that biologically accurate regulation of gene targets by GR requires an ultradian mode of hormone stimulation.
