Today’s society demands ethical and people-oriented management from companies. In this context, servant leadership represents a key element due to its influence on the organization’s well-being and proper functioning, both at the individual level (employees) and the global level (team). This research analyzes servant leadership’s influence on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and how it promotes its efficiency through its two dimensions (OCB towards the employees and OCB towards the organization). Thus, data has been collected from both managers and employees of 53 fitness centers belonging to four chains in Spain. The results reveal a significant direct influence of servant leadership on OCB and direct and indirect effects through employee’s self-efficacy and job satisfaction. A set of managerial implications and future research lines are suggested after discussing the results, while an endogeneity test is illustrated.

This past Thursday, March 8, was International Women’s Day, a day of remembrance and reflection celebrated around the world since 1913. The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women has convened annually since 1946 on March 8 to promote women’s political, economic, civil, social, and educational rights and empowerment. This year, the UN Commission on the Status of Women met February 27 - March 9, to reflect on the empowerment of rural women and their role in poverty and hunger eradication and development. How has the Episcopal Church responded to the call to care for women and girls as part of this global conversation? Anglican women have participated in the UN Commission on the Status of Women since 2000. And the Episcopal Church Center in New York City has become a gathering place during the Commission meetings for women and men across the Anglican Communion for hospitality, fellowship, worship, events, and advocacy. Last week, over 100 participants visited the Church Center from 23 countries. Twenty accredited Anglican Communion delegates officially represented their provinces, attended UN Commission proceedings, and advocated for women in rural areas. Another 90 participants – young adults, indigenous women, members of Anglican Women’s Empowerment, and the Anglican Church of Canada – attended side and parallel events. Delegates are charged with the hopes and dreams of all women and girls, and share their unique perspectives, experiences and stories through blogs and social media (http://episcoglobal.wordpress.com; http://www.facebook.com/ episcopalglobalmission). France Vixamar from the Diocese of Haiti, one of the Episcopal Church’s two official representatives at this year’s Commission, commented: “I have been blessed; I’m a survivor from the earthquake. When Bishop Duracin ask me to go to the UNCSW, I said this is my time to help other women. I come with a desire to connect with other women of faith and re-vision of a new Haiti.” Robin Denney, the Episcopal Church’s other official representative, dreams beyond gender: “My hope is that we as Episcopalians/Anglicans from around the world, in coming together to advocate for the empowerment of rural women, can live into the unity of Christ, for ‘there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus’” (Galatians 3:28b).

Salah satu perhatian utama dari manajemen keuangan perusahaan ialah pada bagaimana manajer membuat keputusan keuangan jangka pendek yang dikenal sebagai manajemen modal kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pentingnya manajemen modal kerja bagi profitabilitas perusahaan manufaktur terbuka Indonesia pada periode waktu terkini. Hasil-hasil analisis regresi data panel menunjukkan hubungan kuadratik berbentuk U terbalik antara manajemen modal kerja (NTC) dan profitabilitas (keduanya ROE dan NPM). Tambahan lagi, kendala finansial berpengaruh pada hubungan antara manajemen modal kerja dan profitabilitas perusahaan. Hasil-hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa perusahaan mempunyai tingkat modal kerja optimal yang memaksimalkan profitabilitas.

Working capital management holds an important place among financial management decisions. Firms’ keeping working continuously in the long term depends on investments on working capital. The optimal level of working capital for a firm can be provided when there is a balance between profitability and liquidity. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of cash conversion cycle which is used to evaluate the effectiveness of working capital management on profitability of firms. With this aim, data set between 2009 and 2013 from 19 firms in Gumushane city in Turkey working in the fields of fruit leather and churchkhela production have been used. According to the results of panel data analysis results, there is a positive effect of cash conversion cycle on profitability of firms.

The present study explores the implications of WTO membership for women working in tourism sector in Jordan due to accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2000 in terms of challenges that WTO membership present to women's family status, training opportunities, social security, and standing in social and political spheres, and how will WTO affect women's employment, incomes, and participation in decision-making. Accordingly, how can government decision-makers best address these issues? For the objective of the research four sub sectors selected: Hotels, Tourism Restaurants, Travel agencies, and Tourist Shops. The data collecting carries out in all Jordan’s governorates. These sites were selected to represent the situation for women in the center, north and south of Jordan. The study used quantitative approach. Quantitative techniques used in the analysis of questionnaires and other secondary data. In addition, meetings have been held with representatives of local authorities and mass organizations, both at the commune as well as provincial level. These meetings assisted the researcher glean an overview of the situation for women, their issues and needs from the perspective of service providers. The study examines the two periods: before acceding to the WTO 1995-2000 and after acceding to the WTO 2000-2005.The researcher tested the hypotheses of the study, to examine the impacts among the variables of current study by using paired samples statistics and one – sample T-test of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences, (SPSS). The results show that although there is no improvement on creating job opportunities and job positioning for women working in the tourism sector after Jordan's accession to the WTO, accession to the WTO has improved the average income, training aspects, and family decision making for women working in the tourism sector.Finally, the researcher recommended some recommendations that help women proactively address the challenges brought on by WTO membership.
