TL;DR: A methodology for optimizing player satisfaction in games on the "playware" physical interactive platform is demonstrated and results indicate the efficacy and robustness of the mechanism in adapting the game according to a user's individual playing features and enhancing the gameplay experience.
Towards optimizing entertainment in computer games
TL;DR: The features—extracted primarily from the opponent behavior—that make a predator/prey game appealing are presented; the qualitative and quantitative means for measuring player entertainment in real time are provided; and a successful methodology for obtaining games of high satisfaction is introduced.

TL;DR: The main results of the paper suggest that ratings (when used) should be naturally transformed to ordinal (ranked) representations for obtaining more reliable and generalisable models of affect.
