Nanoribbon-like NiCo2O4/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite for high-performance hybrid supercapacitor

Developing TiCo2O4 spinel based on rGO nanosheet to enhance electrochemical performance of OER activity

This study investigates the microwave dielectric properties of pure CoMoO4 ceramics prepared using the conventional solid-state reaction method. Sintering temperatures ranging from 600–720°C were employed, and the effects of partial substitution of Mg2+ on these properties, specifically the sintering temperature and microwave dielectric characteristics, were examined. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed the formation of a single solid solution of Co1-xMgxMoO4 (x=0–0.09) with a monoclinic structure and space group C2/m. Pure CoMoO4 samples sintered at 690 oC displayed dielectric properties of εr = 8.27, Q×f = 64,000 GHz, and τf = –96 ppm/°C. The partial substitution of Co2+ with Mg2+ effectively enhanced the densification of ceramics and reduced their dielectric loss and sintering temperature, which was systematically investigated with respect to dielectric polarization, lattice energy, packing fraction, and bond valence. The Co0.95Mg0.05MoO4 ceramic sintered at 630 oC exhibited excellent dielectric properties with εr = 8.42, Q×f = 71,000 GHz, and τf = –62.27 ppm/°C, and demonstrated good chemical compatibility. Furthermore, this ceramic was employed as a substrate for a 4×4 dual-polarized array antenna, indicating significant potential for use in ULTCC applications, particularly in the high-frequency millimeter wave region. 

Microwave dielectric properties of ultra-low temperature sintered Co1−xMgxMoO4 (x = 0–0.09) ceramics for 5G array antenna applications at millimeter-wave frequency

In this work, we report a supercapacitor electrode material based on nano-flower like cobalt molybdate decorated on porous activated carbon derived from waste onion peels (β-CoMoO4-POAC). The obtained porous activated carbon derived from onion peels (POAC), exhibits highly porous structure and after the hydrothermal treatment with salts of cobalt and molybdenum, we observed a uniform distribution of β-cobalt molybdate (β-CoMoO4) as nano-flowers on the surface of POAC. The chemical composition, morphology and porosity of the materials were thoroughly analyzed using field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and Brunauer-Emmet-Teller surface area measurement. Due to its flower like and highly porous morphology, β-CoMoO4@POAC exhibits a high specific capacitance of 1110.72 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g with superior cyclic retention of 96.03% after 2000 cycles. The best electrochemical performance exhibited by β-CoMoO4@POAC is mainly due to its high surface area and porous nature of the material which assists in active transport of ions. This study reveals the exceptional electrochemical properties of β-CoMoO4@POAC which could be considered as a potential material for advanced energy storage devices.

Study on the modification of cobalt site-doped NiCo2-yXyO4 by in situ growth method as supercapacitor material

The ZnMn2O4 material with the spinel structure has stable crystal structure, but its poor electrical conductivity makes its electrochemical performance unstable. In this paper, the electrochemical performance of ZnMn2O4 materials was improved by doping different metals at manganese site. The ZnMn1-yXyO4 materials (X = Cu,Fe,Mg,Pb,Cr, y = 0.01,0.02,0.03,0.05) were synthesized by hydrothermal method and assembled into zinc ion batteries. The electrochemical performance of each material was compared. The discharge capacity of the ZnMn1.95Mg0.05O4 material is up to 150.94mAh/g under the current density of 50 mA/g. Additionally, its capacity is also higher than other materials under high current density. The physical morphology of ZnMn1.95Mg0.05O4 was characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, XPS FT-IR and Raman tests. According to the SEM test, the ZnMn1.95Mg0.05O4 material exhibits unique conjoined double ball structure at the microscopic level. The spherical surface is covered with folds, which enhances the contact between the material and the electrolyte, thereby increasing their interaction. The EDS and XPS tests revealed that the valence states and masses of Zn, Mn, O, and Mg were generally consistent with the molecular formula. Furthermore, the microscopic distribution was uniform, indicating that the doping of 5 % Mg did not alter the fundamental crystal structure of the ZnMn2O4 material. Through physical property characterization tests and analysis, it can be known that 5%Mg element is successfully doped into the internal lattice of the material, and improves the electrochemical performance of the ZnMn2O4 material.
