Automatic Detection of Low-Rise Gable-Roof Building from Single Submeter SAR Images Based on Local Multilevel Segmentation
TL;DR: Low-rise gable-roof buildings are a typical building type in shantytowns and rural areas of China and a method based on multilevel segmentation and multi-feature fusion is proposed to automatically detect them with their whole and accurate outlines in a single very high resolution (VHR) SAR image.

Geometrical characteristics based building height extraction from VHR SAR imagery
Jinxing Chen,Chao Wang,Hong Zhang,Bo Zhang,Fan Wu +4 more
- 01 Nov 2017
TL;DR: A new approach for building height extraction on VHR SAR imagery is proposed, based on the extracted building candidates from mean shift segmentation, where the affinity propagation clustering algorithm is used to divide each connected layover patch into different parts according to their length and position attributes.

Rigorously geometric correction for air-borne SAR images based on affine transformation
Bo Zhang,Chao Wang,Hong Zhang,Fan Wu,Jinxing Chen +4 more
- 10 Jul 2016
TL;DR: Under the condition that the accuracy of the air-borne platform is unknown, an affine transformation model made up of unknown parameters such as rotation, scale and translation is proposed for Synthetic Aperture Radar image geometric correction.

Building features extraction based on facade regularities using TerraSAR-X ST data
Jinxing Chen,Bo Zhang,Chao Wang,Hong Zhang,Fan Wu +4 more
- 29 Oct 2015
TL;DR: A framework to extract detailed high rise building features including building masks, orientations and stories is proposed which consists of processing at three levels, namely image level, region-of-interest (ROI) level and storey level.

Building classification from single TerraSAR-X ST image by fusing structure features in the pyramid framework
Jinxing Chen,Chao Wang,Fan Wu,Hong Zhang +3 more
- 01 Jul 2017
TL;DR: A framework for building extraction and classification is proposed, which divides buildings into three kinds: commercial architecture, residential building and Industrial building, by the fusion of structure features (point-like, linear and regional features).
