Liquid-liquid phase equilibrium and interaction exploration for separation 2-methoxy-phenol and water with different solvents

Isolated and purified organosolv eucalyptus wood lignin was depolymerized at different temperatures with and without mesostructured silica catalysts ( i.e. , SBA-15, MCM-41, ZrO 2 -SBA-15 and ZrO 2 -MCM-41). It was found that at 300 °C for 1 h with a solid/liquid ratio of 0.0175/1 (w/v), the SBA-15 catalyst with high acidity gave the highest syringol yield of 23.0% in a methanol/water mixture (50/50, wt/wt). Doping with ZrO 2 over these catalysts did not increase syringol yield, but increased the total amount of solid residue. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) also identified other main phenolic compounds such as 1-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-ethanone, 1,2-benzenediol, and 4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxy-benzaldehyde. Analysis of the lignin residues with Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) indicated decreases in the absorption bands intensities of OH group, C O stretching of syringyl ring and aromatic C H deformation of syringol unit, and an increase in band intensities associated with the guaiacyl ring, confirming the type of products formed.

Catalytic pyrolysis of Kraft Lignin (KL) experiments were carried out at different temperatures (350–500 °C) over base MgO, acidic ZSM-5 and mixture of MgO-ZSM-5 catalysts under different environments (N2 and CO2). Non-catalytic reaction produced maximum bio-oil (35.3 wt%) under CO2 at 450 °C. Upgrading of pyrolysis vapor under different environment with catalysts produced lower bio-oil as it is enhanced cracking and coke formation. Higher intensity peak at 1695–1720 cm-1 was found in up-gradation pyrolysis KL vapor under CO2, which showed that the higher aldehyde/acidic or ketone functionality in bio-oil. The content of monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons increased whereas phenolic compound decreased with using the catalysts under N2 while acidic functionality increased under CO2 environment. Our results suggest that mixture of catalysts showed synergistic effects which increased the bio-oil quality. Overall, mixture of MgO-ZSM-5 showed the highest yield of aromatic hydrocarbons (ca. 49.2%) under N2. Significant amount oxygen content reduced with the mixture of catalyst (MgO-ZSM-5, 1:1 ratio) under N2 with the increasing of aromatic hydrocarbon. Higher heating value bio-oil was obtained with catalytic up-gradation.

Unraveling the role of reaction environment and catalysts for pyrolysis of technical lignin into different functional bio-oil yield

The invention belongs to the technical fields of molecular biology, genetics and genomics science, and discloses a construction method for a fraxinus velutina SSR marked molecular genetic linkage map; the construction method includes the following steps: 1) extracting genomic DNAs of a to-be-tested fraxinus velutina parent and filial generation; 2) screening SSR primers with a parental material; 3), respectively, using the SSR primers, and respectively with the genomic DNAs of the to-be-tested fraxinus velutina parent and filial generation as templates, carrying out PCR amplification; and 4) analyzing results of PCR amplification by using biological software, constructing the fraxinus velutina SSR marked molecular genetic linkage map. The fraxinus velutina SSR marked technology system with high efficiency and low cost is established, and the obtained SSR markers and the obtained core primer group have the advantages of high efficiency, stability and co-dominance; with use of the set of markers, the fraxinus velutina genetic linkage map construction, genetic diversity analysis, variety identification and molecular marker assisted breeding and other researches can be achieved, and the development of fraxinus velutina genetics and breeding technologies is promoted.
