TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify which provinces will be allocated more (less) of a carbon dioxide reduction burden within China's pledge to reduce its carbon intensity at the Copenhagen conference, and they find that there exists a large gap in potential reduction capability and marginal abatement cost among the eastern, middle and western regions.

Chinese household saving and dependent children: Theory and evidence
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the impact of family size on household saving and found that Chinese families with fewer dependent children have significantly higher saving rates, while having an additional child reduces saving rates more for households in urban areas than in rural areas.
