It is widely acknowledged that enhancing innovation capability is an inevitable requirement for the survival and sustainable growth of firms operating in the information technology sector. Therefore, this study was conducted to explore the relationship among organizational culture, knowledge management and innovation capability in the open innovation environment to provide useful suggestions and recommendations for managerial practices within the high-tech industry. Primary data collected from 182 high-tech firm’s representatives were processed by using the Structural Equation Modeling approach. The results showed that knowledge management was strongly correlated with innovation capability. The positively significant relationship between organizational culture and knowledge management was also confirmed. Overall, the findings suggest that an open innovation culture of an organization in which mutual trust, collaboration and learning are promoted by supportive and participative leaders is more likely to increase the efficiency of knowledge management practices; thus, eventually lead to enhanced innovation capability of the firm.

Impact of supply chain digitalization on supply chain resilience and performance: A multi-mediation model

Innovation is considered an important stage in the process of competitiveness of companies. While there is an extensive literature in the management and innovation field that shows the characteristics that enhance a firm's ability to innovate, there is still no consensus on its determinants and nature. This study aims to advance the understanding of innovation capability (IC) by conducting a systematic review of relevant literature at the firm level.,The study reviews the literature by applying the categorization and contextualization of qualitative strategies. The study gathered 137 peer-reviewed papers from Scopus and Web of Science databases.,The papers were analysed and synthesized into an integrated framework that links IC with its internal and external determinants, and its consequences. In doing this, this study proposes directions for future investigations that might enlighten a better understanding of IC.,The study provides elements that can be useful during the design and implementation of innovative initiatives in a firm.,The paper jointly examines in the same model the nature, antecedents and consequences of IC. In the same vein, the framework provides the little-researched links between those themes in the IC literature.

Innovation capability: a systematic literature review

This study investigates the relationships between knowledge acquisition, absorptive capability, and innovation capability on Taiwanâ??s knowledge-intensive industries using a structural equation model, which is constructed based on the data sampled from financial and manufacturing industries, and the 362 returned valid research samples. By testing five hypotheses, the research results find that absorptive capacity is the mediator between knowledge acquisition and innovation capability, and that knowledge acquisition has a positive effect on absorptive capacity. In addition, we used a multi-group approach and found that industry is a moderator between knowledge acquisition and innovation capability. Finally, a conclusion including research findings, discussion, implication, and future works is presented.

Relationships between knowledge acquisition, absorptive capacity and innovation capability: an empirical study on Taiwan's financial and manufacturing industries

In an environment where business uncertainty is the norm, developing innovation capability in an organisation is increasingly important The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects that innovation capabilities have on the business performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the context of a regional developing and emerging economy of Mexico, in this case, Aguascalientes,The approach of this study is quantitative Four research hypotheses were formulated and tested using structural equation modelling (SEM) Data were collected through a questionnaire survey responded by 308 SMEs located in the Aguascalientes state of Mexico,The results obtained show that innovation in products, processes, marketing and management has a positive and significant effect on the business return of Mexican SMEs,The paper complements the limited body of knowledge currently existent in the SMEs innovation literature, particularly when compared to that of large organisations Similar works in other settings have provided mixed results in regards to the effects that innovation capabilities have on the business performance of SMEs Thus, this paper offers a refined understanding and validation of the relationship between innovation capabilities and business performance, especially within the context of SMEs, and insights into some of the innovation aspects that managers may consider when formulating the strategies of their organisations Finally, it enables such relationship to be understood within a particular situation, contributing in this manner to expand the body of knowledge in the innovation field

Innovation capabilities and performance: are they truly linked in SMEs?

This study investigates the effect of knowledge management on a firm's innovation capability. Knowledge acquisition and innovation are particularly examined for their impacts on innovation capability in high technology firms in China and the effect of innovation capability on long-term corporate growth is also assessed. Results show that the innovation capability of high technology firms is significantly related to knowledge acquisition and innovation in these firms. The innovation capability also has been shown to positively contribute to long-term corporate growth.

Enhancing the firm's innovation capability through knowledge management: a study of high technology firms in China

This study used path analysis to examine relationships between knowledge management (knowledge innovation and integration), new product creativity, timeliness, and performance among high technology firms in China. The results indicated that knowledge innovation was significantly related to new product creativity. In addition, knowledge integration was related to new product timeliness, which contributed positively to the new product financial performance. Managerial implications and future research also were discussed.
