The invention provides a file distribution system and a fragmentation method based on P2P (peer-to-peer). The self-adaption distribution method comprises the following steps: during the file distribution process, a file to be loaded is fragmented, the last stage of fragmentation is transmission level fragmentation, wherein the size of the transmission level fragmentation is dynamically adjusted according to the network resource condition between a local node and a service node, so that the transmission property of the file distribution system can be ensured to be suitable for the changes of network bandwidth, and further, the data transmission efficiency can be improved, and the application range of the file distribution system can be enlarged.

Measurement, modeling and enhancement of BitTorrent-based VoD system

The invention discloses a method, a device and a base station for distributing sounding reference signal (SRS) resource in a long term evolution (LTE) system. Before distributing SRS for user equipment (UE), uplink sounding reference signal information (SRS) is divided into a plurality of SRS secondary resources in advance, and a plurality of SRS secondary resource collections are formed, wherein the SRS secondary resources in the identical SRS secondary resource collections are provided with identical resource allocation. The method of distributing SRS resource includes the following steps of ascertaining the SRS secondary collections which are used for distributing the SRS resources for the UE according to access requirement information transmitted by the UE, and distributing the SRS secondary resources capable of being distributed in the ascertained SRS secondary collections to the UE. According to the method, the device and the base station for distributing (SRS) resource in the LTE system, complexity of distribution of the SRS resource can be reduced, search time capable of being used for the distribution of the resource can be shortened, and therefore time of the base station to distribute the SRS resource to the user equipment (UE) can be saved and distribution efficiency is improved.

Video-on-demand (VoD) streaming applications have evolved into one of the most popular types of applications on the Internet over the past decade. A great amount of research has been conducted to address the high bandwidth and stringent delay requirements of VoD applications on the video servers and the Internet. In this paper, we provide a broad survey of existing schemes and classify them into four categories. We also discuss the trade-offs and examine representative schemes in each category. Finally, we highlight future directions.

Video on-demand streaming on the Internet — A survey

The invention discloses a coordinated transmission method for a streaming media file, a system and a device. The method, the system and the device are used for solving the problem that a present network bandwidth is insufficient to support a streaming media service with a higher demand on a transmission bandwidth. The coordinated transmission method comprises the following steps: obtaining downloading identifiers from a streaming media server by a master terminal, wherein the quantity of the downloading identifiers is as same as the quantity of terminals participating in the coordinated transmission; allocating the obtained downloading identifiers to each of the terminals participating in the coordinated transmission according to a principle of occupying different downloading identifiers by each of the terminals participating in the coordinated transmission; establishing a media downloading control linkage and a media downloading linkage by the master terminal and the streaming media server according to the allocated downloading identifiers; receiving a packet sent by the streaming media server based on the established linkage; and receiving the packet participating in the coordinated transmission sent from the terminals. According to the coordinated transmission method, a bandwidth pressure of the media linkage between the streaming media server and the master terminal is relieved and the requirement for the streaming media service with the higher demand on the transmission bandwidth is met.

Coordinated transmission method for streaming media file, system and device

BitTorrent (BT) is one of the most popular Peer-to- Peer (P2P) protocols for delivering media files in the Internet today. Although BT is quite efficient for sharing and downloading files by using P2P swarming technique, the users have to download almost the whole media file before playing it. This is determined by the Rarest-Block-Download-First strategy of standard BT implementations, which is designed for fast delivery of files in the systems but not for streaming application. In this paper, we present LiveBT, a new protocol which supports video-on- demand streaming service and is totally compatible to the current BitTorrent protocol. LiveBT enables users to play hot movies shared in the BT systems smoothly just after 2-3 minutes of buffering time. We also develop the prototype of LiveBT and test the performance through the real BT download tasks of media files. By comparing our prototype with some popular BT clients claiming to support view-as- download service such as Bitcomet, we find that LiveBT spends a much shorter buffering time to play and achieves quite smooth playback performance.

LiveBT: Providing Video-on-Demand Streaming Service over BitTorrent Systems

The invention relates to resource downloading method in P2P (peer-to-peer) and system thereof. The method comprises the following steps of: 1, dividing a node group added by standard selection according to physical network information and a preset node group by a node; 2, acquiring alternative nodes with request data by a user node which is the node with a data request, and constituting an alternative node aggregation by the alternative nodes; 3, selecting the alternative node from the alternative node aggregation by the user node on the basis of the node group to which the user node belongs and the connection quality between the alternative node and the user node, and taking the selected alternative node as a resource node; and 4, downloading the request data from the resource node by the user node. The invention can apply a physical layer network topological structure when selecting the node for downloading.

The invention relates to a method and a device for exchanging streaming media data. The method for exchanging the streaming media data comprises the following steps of: 1, establishing a sliding window by a user node; 2, according to the data fragmentation advertising information of each neighboring node, allocating a streaming media data fragmentation downloading task belonging to the sliding window to one or more neighboring nodes; 3, when the data in the sliding window meets the preset condition, delivering the data in the sliding window to a streaming media data decoding and playback module for playing by the user node; and 4, sliding the sliding window and repeating step 2 and step 3 till the downloading of the streaming media data is completed or the user node terminates the data exchange of the streaming media. The invention provides an efficient data fragmentation downloading and scheduling method for the streaming media data exchange and improves the playback quality of a streaming media terminal and the degree of satisfaction of a terminal user by taking the stability of the streaming media playback, the playback delay of the streaming media data and the change of network bandwidth resources into consideration at the same time.

Method and device for exchanging streaming media data

The invention provides a data transmission method under a P2P environment, data to be transmitted are partitioned to obtain a plurality of groups of subdata flows; a pushing data sheet is maintained on a user node registered by a user and an adjacent node of the user node, wherein the pushing data sheet is used for recording the information of the subdata flow which is to be pushed and received by the node; the adjacent node pushes different groups of subdata flows to the user node according to a random order, and the user node combines the information in the pushing data sheet to distribute the subdata flows needed to be pushed by the adjacent node to the adjacent node after receiving the subdata flows; and the user node receives and stores the data pushed by the adjacent node. A pushingstrategy is combined with a pulling strategy, and therefore, the condition that data are lost fragment by fragment can be reduced as much as possible. The invention realizes the distribution of the subdata flows through a competitive mechanism and can reduce the transmission of redundant data packets and improve the performance of the whole system.
