Electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry of meso-substituted free-base corroles in nonaqueous media: reactions of (Cor)H3, [(Cor)H4]+, and [(Cor)H2]-.
TL;DR: Eleven free-base corroles with different electron-donating or electron-withdrawing meso substituents were characterized as to their electrochemistry and UV-visible spectroscopically identified in benzonitrile or pyridine containing tetra-n-butylammonium perchlorate.

Energy- and Electron-Transfer Processes in Corrole−Perylenebisimide−Triphenylamine Array
Mariusz Tasior,Daniel T. Gryko,Jing Shen,Karl M. Kadish,Thomas Becherer,Heinz Langhals,Barbara Ventura,Lucia Flamigni +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multichromophoric system, TPA-C-PI, possessing a corrole as the central unit linked to perylene bisimide and N-[4-(phenylethynyl)phenyl]-N,N-diphenylamine was efficiently synthesized, as were the component dyads C-PI and C-TPA.

Demetalation of Silver(III) Corrolates
Manuela Stefanelli,Jing Shen,Weihua Zhu,M. Mastroianni,Federica Mandoj,Sara Nardis,Zhongping Ou,Karl M. Kadish,Frank R. Fronczek,Kevin M. Smith,Roberto Paolesse +10 more
TL;DR: Electrochemical and chemical reductive methods for silver(III) corrolates demetalation were tested with the aim to avoid the formation of isocorroles and a successful approach was obtained using DBU/THF solutions which afforded the 3-NO(2) corrole free-base compound as a single reaction product in good yield.
Self-Healing of Gold Nanoparticles in the Presence of Zinc Phthalocyanines and Their Very Efficient Nonlinear Absorption Performances
Vincenzo Amendola,Danilo Dini,Stefano Polizzi,Jing Shen,Karl M. Kadish,Mário J. F. Calvete,Michael Hanack,Moreno Meneghetti +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a gold nanoparticles (AuNP) solution showed very good nonlinear absorption properties in the nanosecond time regime at 532 nm, also at high fluences, when zinc phthalocyanines are present.

Electrochemistry of aluminum phthalocyanine: solvent and anion effects on UV-visible spectra and reduction mechanisms.
TL;DR: The electrochemistry and UV-vis spectral properties of neutral and electroreduced Al(III) phthalocyanine, (Pc)AlCl, were characterized in four different nonaqueous solvents containing tetra-n-butylammonium perchlorate as well as in THF containing 0.4 M TBAP and the more strongly coordinating Cl-, F-, OH-, or CN- anions.
