Terahertz nondestructive imaging for foreign object detection in glass fibre-reinforced polymer composite panels
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors employed Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) to detect hidden inclusions with various shapes and materials in glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) composite solid panels.

A Comparative Study of Non-destructive Evaluation of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites Using Terahertz, X-ray, and Ultrasound Imaging
TL;DR: In this article, a set of samples of glass fiber reinforced polymer composites with Teflon inclusions in the shape of pentagram have been specifically designed and fabricated for the purpose of assessing the efficacy and practicality of terahertz (THz) time domain spectroscopy (TDS) system in non-destructive evaluation (NDE), in side-byside comparison with X-ray computed tomography (CT), and ultrasonic imaging.

Terahertz detection of porosity and porous microstructure in pharmaceutical tablets: A review.
TL;DR: The main focus is the relevant research work of terahertz technology applied to the detection of the pores in tablets, including the quantitative detection of porosity and analysis of porous microstructure.

Noncontact detection of Teflon inclusions in glass-fiber-reinforced polymer composites using terahertz imaging.
TL;DR: Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy imaging technology was employed, a new nondestructive testing method, to detect the inclusions of glass-fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) composites, and it was experimentally demonstrated that THz TDS imaging technology could clearly detect a smaller inclusion hidden behind a larger inclusion.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the features of adhesive debonding defect based mainly on the variation of the time-domain wave form and compared with the inclusion defect and achieved a typical accuracy of about 100μm.
