Transcriptome changes upon in vitro challenge with Mycobacterium bovis in monocyte-derived macrophages from bovine tuberculosis-infected and healthy cows
TL;DR: For macrophages, kallikrein-related peptidase 12 (KLK12) and protease, serine, 2 (trypsin 2) (PRSS2), as well as a secreted protein, acidic, cysteine-rich (SPARC)-centered matricellular gene network, were differentially expressed in infected animals.

The Cellular Prion Protein Negatively Regulates Phagocytosis and Cytokine Expression in Murine Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophages
TL;DR: The data reveal an important role of PrPC as a negative regulator for phagocytosis, phagosome maturation, cytokine expression, and macrophage microbicidal activity.
Expression and distribution of laminin receptor precursor/laminin receptor in rabbit tissues.

TL;DR: The expression level and distribution of LRP/LR in rabbit tissues were investigated by real-time polymerase chain reaction and by immunochemical analysis with a monoclonal anti-67 kDa LR antibody, which showed LRP-LR mRNA expression in all the tissues examined.

Expression pattern of interferon-inducible transcriptional genes in neutrophils during bovine tuberculosis infection.
Jin Wang,Xiangmei Zhou,Bo Pan,Huinuan Wang,Fushan Shi,Wenqiang Gan,Lifeng Yang,Xiaomin Yin,Binrui Xu,Deming Zhao +9 more
TL;DR: A specific expression pattern of IFN-inducible transcriptional genes and MPO and PTX3 genes in neutrophils during bovine tuberculosis infection is demonstrated, which provides a potential diagnostic tool and may have implications for vaccine and therapeutic development to combat the bovines tuberculosis epidemic.
