TL;DR: A strategy to design adsorbents that utilizes the tunability of interlayer and intralayer space of two-dimensional fluorinated MOFs for capturing acetylene from ethylene, giving excellent ethylene productivities and efficiency in acetylene/ethylene separation.
Molecular Sieving of C2 -C3 Alkene from Alkyne with Tuned Threshold Pressure in Robust Layered Metal-Organic Frameworks.
TL;DR: Two novel hydrolytically-stable layered metal-organic frameworks can achieve almost complete exclusion of both C3H6 and C2H4 from their alkyne analogues, and metal substitution from Zn to Cu affords a fine tuning of linker rotation and layer stacking, creating slightly expanded pore aperture and interlayer space coupled with multiple hydrogen-bonding sites and allowing easier entrance ofAlkyne while excluding alkene.

TL;DR: In this article , a solid bridge was formed in [email protected, enhancing the adhesion between the crystal particles while minimizing the pore blockage, which affords exceptional 0.01 bar acetylene uptake of 2.60 mmol/g along with acetylene/ethylene (1/99, v/v) selectivity of 111 at 298 K.
