Identification of transcriptional targets of Wnt/β-catenin signaling in dermal papilla cells of human scalp hair follicles: EP2 is a novel transcriptional target of Wnt3a
HyeRim Shin,Mi Hee Kwack,Seung Hyun Shin,Ji Won Oh,Bo Mi Kang,Ahnsup Andrew Kim,Jin Oh Kim,Moon Kyu Kim,Jung Chul Kim,Young Kwan Sung +9 more
TL;DR: Elucidation of the role of Wnt3a-regulated genes identified in this study including EP2 would help the understanding of hair-induction and maintenance of anagen phase.

Gene expression profiles in varicose veins using complementary DNA microarray.
Seok-Jong Lee,Won-Chae Lee,Yoon-Seok Choe,Do Won Kim,Gun-Yeon Na,Jin Oh Kim,Moon Kyu Kim,Jung-Chul Kim,Joonyong Cho +8 more
TL;DR: Many up-regulated genes were found in VVs by applying cDNA microarray, which suggested a pathway associated with fibrosis and that wound healing might be related to the pathophysiology of VVs.

Erythropoietin promotes hair shaft growth in cultured human hair follicles and modulates hair growth in mice
Bo Mi Kang,Seung Hyun Shin,Mi Hee Kwack,HyeRim Shin,Ji Won Oh,Jin Oh Kim,Chanil Moon,Cheil Moon,Jung Chul Kim,Moon Kyu Kim,Young Kwan Sung +10 more
TL;DR: EPO may modulate hair growth by stimulating DPCs that express functional EPOR by stimulated EPOR signaling pathway mediators such as EPOR and Akt are phosphorylated by EPO in D PCs.

NS398 inhibits the growth of Hep3B human hepatocellular carcinoma cells via caspase-independent apoptosis.
Mi Kyung Park,Sun Young Hwang,Jin Oh Kim,Mi Hee Kwack,Jung-Chul Kim,Moon Kyu Kim,Young Kwan Sung +6 more
TL;DR: It is reported that NS398 inhibits the growth of the Hep 3B human HCC cell line and that inhibition results from the induction of apoptosis with no evidence of cell cycle arrest, and it is shown that the extent of suicides is greatly influenced by culture conditions.

Identification of troglitazone responsive genes: induction of RTP801 during troglitazone-induced apoptosis in Hep 3B cells.
Jin Oh Kim,Jiyoung Kim,Mi Hee Kwack,Su-Hyung Hong,Moon Kyu Kim,Jung Chul Kim,Young Kwan Sung +6 more
TL;DR: Troglitazone treatment of Hep 3B human hepatocellular carcinoma cells resulted in dose-dependent growth inhibition and cDNA microarray analysis showed a number of differentially expressed genes in response to trog litazone, suggesting that RTP801 might be involved in trog Litazone-induced apoptosis in Hep 3 B cells.
