Regions Outside the α-Crystallin Domain of the Small Heat Shock Protein Hsp26 Are Required for Its Dimerization
TL;DR: A thermodynamic analysis of the monomeric and dimeric constructs revealed that dimers are not significantly stabilized against thermal and chemical denaturation in comparison to monomers, supporting the notion that dimerization is not a prerequisite for the formation of a well-folded Hsp26 alpha-crystallin domain.

Structural and Mechanical Hierarchies in the α-Crystallin Domain Dimer of the Hyperthermophilic Small Heat Shock Protein Hsp16.5
TL;DR: This article analyzes the folding and association of the basic building block, the alpha-crystallin domain dimer, from the hyperthermophilic archaeon Methanocaldococcus jannaschii Hsp16.5 in detail and suggests that assembly of the spherical 24mer starts from folded monomers, which readily associate to the dimeric structure required forAssembly of the higher oligomer.
A heat shock 70kDa protein MaltHSP70-2 contributes to thermal resistance in Monochamus alternatus (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae): quantification, localization, and functional analysis
TL;DR: In this article , the temporal expression of MaltHSP70-2 indicated a long-last inductive effect on the expression maintained 48 hours after heat shock, which indicated that enriched MaltHS-2 in the testis (specifically in the primary spermatocyte) must be indispensable to protect the reproductive activities.
