Progress and prospect of Chinese biodiversity monitoring of amphibians and reptiles

This study explores the effectiveness of artificial intelligence-generated videos (AIGV) as a scalable enabling technology within the e-commerce sector. It investigates the potential of AIGV to enhance marketing efficacy through the simulation of product experiences, with a particular focus on space tourism. A notable gap exists in the current understanding of how the attributes of AIGV and individual perceptions influence critical consumer responses in the context of space tourism e-commerce. This gap specifically pertains to their effects on trustworthiness, awe, and behavioral intentions, with an emphasis on the underlying mediating mechanisms. Purposive sampling was employed to gather samples, and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was utilized for data analysis. The results reveal that both AIGV attributes and personal perceptions exert a significant influence on trustworthiness, awe, and behavioral intentions within the context of space tourism e-commerce. Awe serves as a central mediating construct between AIGV attributes and behavioral intention, while also mediating the relationship between perceived risk and behavioral intention. In contrast, trustworthiness solely mediates the pathway between perceived risk and behavioral intention. The findings present novel theoretical insights into AI-driven consumer behavior within experiential e-commerce contexts. They also offer practical guidance for the effective implementation of the AIGV. Moreover, this study underscores the necessity for ethical frameworks to regulate consumer trust in AI-dominated marketplaces. 

AI-Generated Videos: Influencing Trustworthiness, Awe, and Behavioral Intention in Space Tourism E-Commerce

Spatial assessment of tourists' demand for cultural ecosystem services in the Kalajun World Natural Heritage Site, China

Jiuzhaigou Valley is recognized as both a world natural heritage site and a biosphere reserve. Conducting research on vegetation health within its scope can provide a demonstration role for sustainable development research. In this study, we proposed a technology integration approach that combined remote sensing intelligent identification and quantitative retrieval, and achieved vegetation health monitoring and susceptibility mapping of unhealthy trees. Leveraging WorldView-2 high-resolution satellite images, unhealthy trees were elaborately identified through the object-oriented classification method employing spectral and texture features, with F1 Score exceeding 75%. By applying fuzzy operations on indices related to leaf pigment and canopy architecture, we ultimately generated susceptibility maps of unhealthy trees on Sentinel-2 satellite images, with Area Under the Curve (AUC) exceeding 0.85. Our findings underscore that the vegetation health in Jiuzhaigou Valley is predominantly influenced by human activities and geological hazards. The forests of Jiuzhaigou Valley exhibit a certain degree of resilience to geological disasters, while human activities have been continuously exerting adverse effects on forest health in recent years, necessitating heightened attention. The methodology proposed in this study for mapping unhealthy trees susceptibility presents a cost-effective solution that can be readily applied for vegetation health monitoring and early warning in analogous biosphere reserves.

﻿Abstract This study presents a comprehensive morphological comparison along with molecular phylogeny of the genus Gloydius based on five mitochondrial genes (12S, 16S, COI, cytb, and ND4). The specimens collected from Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve are shown to be a new species, Gloydiuslateralissp. nov. Zhang, Shi, Jiang & Shi based on a combination of morphological and molecular accounts. G.lateralissp. nov. differs from other congeneric species by a series of diagnostic morphological characteristics and forms a strongly supported monophyletic group. The new species is phylogenetically closely related to G.swild, another recently described species from Heishui, Aba, Sichuan.

Diploneis zhui sp. nov. was observed in epilitic diatom communities from Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve. The species is described herein based on light microscopy (LM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and ecological information of the type locality is provided. The species is characterized by linear to linear-elliptic valves with broadly rounded ends, 18–39 μm long, and 9.5–11.0 μm wide and partly biseriate striae, 16–18 in 10 μm. The species is compared with most similar taxa from other regions. The discovery of a new diatom species confirms the importance of Jiuzhaigou not only in terms of species richness and endemicity, but also for the biodiversity of freshwater karst ecosystems.
