RNA and CuCl2 induced conformational changes of the recombinant ovine prion protein
TL;DR: The results indicated that the conformational conversion of OvPrP23–256 was triggered by RNA with a decrease in α-helix content and increase in β-sheet, which suggests that a dysfunctional state of a normal physiological process possibly facilitates diseases.

TL;DR: Multiple-tissues RT-PCR results revealed that 37/67-kDa LRP/LR mRNA is expressed in all the 11 selected ovine tissues, and prediction of protein secondary structure indicated that PAAs at residues 241, 270 and 272 may cause protein conformation changes as predicted, which may affect on the binding with prion protein.

Development of a rapid real-time PCR assay for detection and quantification of four familiar species of Chlamydiaceae.
TL;DR: The results showed that the present real-time PCR assay was of high specificity and sensitivity and was capable of detecting as few as 250fg of chlamydial DNA (equivalent to 10(-1)IFU) and was applicable to both liquid cultures and clinical samples.
