Band Structure Engineering of Interfacial Semiconductors Based on Atomically Thin Lead Iodide Crystals
Yan Sun,Zishu Zhou,Zhen Huang,Jiang-Bin Wu,Liujiang Zhou,Yang Cheng,Jinqiu Liu,Chao Zhu,Maotao Yu,Peng Yu,Wei Zhu,Yue Liu,Jian Zhou,Bowen Liu,Hongguang Xie,Yi Cao,Hai Li,Xinran Wang,Kaihui Liu,Xiaoyong Wang,Jianpu Wang,Lin Wang,Wei Huang,Wei Huang +23 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that MoS2, WS2, and WSe2 monolayers with similar electronic structures show completely distinct light-matter interactions when interfacing with PbI2, providing unprecedented capabilities to engineer the device performance of 2D heterostructures.

Catalytic Asymmetric Electrophilic Amination Reactions To Form Nitrogen-Bearing Tetrasubstituted Carbon Stereocenters
TL;DR: The catalytic asymmetric electrophilic amination has been established as a fruitful methodology for the construction of nitrogen-bearing tetrasubstituted carbon stereocenters, with its roots nourished by the latest achievements in chiral catalysis and synthetic strategies as discussed by the authors.

Does Audit Committee Accounting Expertise Help to Promote Audit Quality? Evidence from Auditor Reporting of Internal Control Weaknesses
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examine whether audit committee accounting expertise helps to promote audit quality by motivating auditors to conduct diligent internal control audits and make appropriate internal control assessments because accounting expertise safeguards auditors from dismissal following adverse internal control opinions, and they find that this lower likelihood of subsequent auditor dismissal occurs when at least two audit committee members possess accounting expertise.

The nanomechanical signature of liver cancer tissues and its molecular origin
Meng-Xin Tian,Yiran Li,Wei-Ren Liu,Lei Jin,Xi-Fei Jiang,Xinyan Wang,Zhen-Bin Ding,Yuan-Fei Peng,Jian Zhou,Jia Fan,Yi Cao,Wei Wang,Ying-Hong Shi +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the nanomechanical signature of liver tissue is directly correlated with the development of HCC, and the mechanical profiles of liver cancer tissues directly varied with tumor progression, providing an additional platform for the future diagnosis of H CC.
