Optoelectronic properties of type-II SePtTe/InS van der Waals heterojunction
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the van der Waals (vdW) heterojunction based on the Janus structure of the 1T-PtTe2 for the potential application in the excitonic solar cell.

Excellent properties of type-II van der Waals Janus-XM2X’/MX heterojunctions toward solar cell utilization
Hongling Liu,Jialuo Ren,Chunxiao Zhang,Mengshi Zhou,Chaoyu He,Jin Li,Tao Ouyang,Chao Tang,Jianxin Zhong +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the XM2X/MX (M = Al, Ga, In; X = S, Se, Te) heterostructures by first-principles calculation and found that they are direct-band-gap type-II band structures with moderate band gap from 1.08 to 1.73 eV in HSE method.
