A novel aldehyde reductase with activity towards a metabolite of aflatoxin B1 is expressed in rat liver during carcinogenesis and following the administration of an anti-oxidant
David J. Judah,John D. Hayes,Ji-Chun Yang,Lu-Yun Lian,Gordon C. K. Roberts,Peter B. Farmer,John H. Lamb,Gordon E. Neal +7 more
TL;DR: An aldehyde reductase activity is expressed in cytosolic fractions prepared from rat livers bearing pre-neoplastic lesions, or following treatment with the anti-oxidant ethoxyquin, which parallels the development of resistance to the toxin.
Determination of the solution structures of domains II and III of protein G from Streptococcus by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance.
TL;DR: The difference in affinity of domains II and III for IgG is due to local changes in amino acid side-chains, rather than a more extensive change in conformation, suggesting that one or more of the residues which differ between them are directly involved in interaction with IgG.

Sequence‐specific resonance assignment and conformational analysis of subtilin by 2D NMR
Weng C. Chan,Barrie W. Bycroft,Mark L. Leyland,Lu-Yun Lian,Ji-Chun Yang,Gordon C. K. Roberts +5 more
TL;DR: Detailed NMR analysis revealed that subtilin is a rather flexible molecule; the only observed conformational contraints were those imposed by the cyclic structures created by the tanthionine and 3‐methyllanthionine residues.

The interactions of Escherichia coli trp repressor with tryptophan and with an operator oligonucleotide
Vasudevan Ramesh,Ronnie O. Frederick,Shabih E. H. Syed,Catherine F. Gibson,Ji-Chun Yang,Gordon C. K. Roberts +5 more
TL;DR: Analysis of the heteronuclear correlation spectra of the labelled repressors shows the value of selective labelling in resolving the crosspeaks of, for example, the 19 leucine and 12 glutamate residues.

Intelligent Dual-Lock Deoxyribonucleic Acid Automatons Boosting Precise Tumor Imaging.
Liu Wang,Kang Wang,Xiaohui Wang,Ruyan Niu,Xiaohui Chen,Ying Zhu,Zixin Sun,Ji-Chun Yang,Guoxiang Liu,Yang Luo +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , a dual-lock deoxyribonucleic acid automatons (IDEAs) were used for tumor-specific imaging in the presence of miRNA and GSH of tumor cells.
