A co-production approach guided by the behaviour change wheel to develop an intervention for reducing sedentary behaviour after stroke
Jennifer Hall,Sarah Morton,Jessica Hall,David J Clarke,Claire Fitzsimons,Coralie English,Anne Forster,Gillian Mead,Rebecca Lawton +8 more
TL;DR: This is the first study that has combined the use of co-production and the behaviour change wheel framework to develop an intervention for use in stroke care, and in-depth reporting of how a co- production approach was combined with the BCW framework should prove useful to other researchers and practitioners involved in intervention development in stroke.
Factors influencing sedentary behaviours after stroke: findings from qualitative observations and interviews with stroke survivors and their caregivers
Jennifer Hall,Jennifer Hall,Sarah Morton,Claire Fitzsimons,Jessica Hall,Jessica Hall,Rekesh Corepal,Rekesh Corepal,Coralie English,Anne Forster,Rebecca Lawton,Anita Patel,Gillian Mead,David J Clarke +13 more
TL;DR: Many stroke survivors indicate being open to reducing sedentary behaviour, with appropriate support from stroke service staff and caregivers, and the findings from this study have contributed to the intervention development process using the Behaviour Change Wheel (BCW) approach.
Supporting carers of stroke survivors to reduce carer burden: development of the Preparing is Caring intervention using Intervention Mapping.
Jessica Hall,Jessica Hall,Thomas F Crocker,Thomas F Crocker,David J Clarke,David J Clarke,Anne Forster,Anne Forster +7 more
TL;DR: The proposed intervention ‘Preparing is Caring’ is a comprehensive programme plan for a multiple-component, theory and evidence informed behaviour change intervention aimed at preparing carers before and during the transition from hospital to home.

A protocol for a systematic review of process evaluations of interventions investigating sedentary behaviour in adults
Rekesh Corepal,Jessica Hall,Coralie English,Amanda Farrin,Claire Fitzsimons,Anne Forster,Rebecca Lawton,Gillian Mead,David J Clarke +8 more
TL;DR: This review aims to review process evaluations of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) which included a measure of sedentary behaviour in adults in order to develop an understanding of intervention content, mechanisms of impact, implementation and delivery approaches and contexts, in which interventions were reported to be effective or effective.
