Rasmus Klose-Jensen,Rasmus Klose-Jensen,Andreas Wiggers Nielsen,Louise Brøndt Hartlev,Jesper Skovhus Thomsen,Lene Warner Thorup Boel,Mogens Berg Laursen,Kresten Krarup Keller,Ellen-Margrethe Hauge,Ellen-Margrethe Hauge +9 more

The effect of haemostatic devices on bone healing 6 months postoperatively in sternotomized pigs
Ted Carl Kejlberg Andelius,Rikke F. Vestergaard,Ellen Margrethe Hauge,Annemarie Brüel,Jesper Skovhus Thomsen,Jesper L. Honge,Vibeke E. Hjortdal +6 more
TL;DR: Bone wax and water-soluble polymer wax had similar long-term effects on bone mechanical properties and Histology confirmed that bone wax impairs bone healing in sternotomized pigs 6 months postoperatively, whereas polymer wax does not and showed a more extensive foreign body reaction in animals treated with bone wax.
