Specificity of Elevated Intercostal Space ECG Recording for the Type 1 Brugada ECG Pattern
Anders G. Holst,Anders G. Holst,Mogens Tangø,Velislav N. Batchvarov,Malini Govindan,Stig Haunsø,Stig Haunsø,Stig Haunsø,Jesper Hastrup Svendsen,Jesper Hastrup Svendsen,Jesper Hastrup Svendsen,Elijah R. Behr,Jacob Tfelt-Hansen,Jacob Tfelt-Hansen +13 more
TL;DR: Right precordial (V1–3) elevated electrode placement ECG (EEP‐ECG) is often used in the diagnosis of Brugada syndrome (BrS) and the specificity of this has only been studied in smaller studies in Asian populations.
Quantification of the total Na,K-ATPase concentration in atria and ventricles from mammalian species by measuring 3H-ouabain binding to intact myocardial samples. Stability to short term ischemia reperfusion
TL;DR: Myocardial3H-ouabain binding sites were found to be stable for 20 min of ischemia, followed by 1h of reperfusion, supporting the concept that myocyte injury induced by short term ischemIA may be reversible and that reperfusions may result in normalization.

Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation for adult patients with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator
Kim Mechta Nielsen,Ann-Dorthe Zwisler,Rod S Taylor,Jesper Hastrup Svendsen,Jane Lindschou,Lindsey Anderson,Janus Christian Jakobsen,Selina Kikkenborg Berg +7 more
TL;DR: Eight trials published from 2004 to 2017 were identified and judged to be at overall high risk of bias and effect estimates are reported at the end of the intervention with a follow-up range of eight to 24 weeks, favouring exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation.
Right Ventricular Dysfunction and the Effect of Defibrillator Implantation in Patients With Nonischemic Systolic Heart Failure
Marie Bayer Elming,Sophia Hammer-Hansen,Inga Voges,Evangelia Nyktari,Anna Axelsson Raja,Jesper Hastrup Svendsen,Steen Pehrson,James Signorovitch,Lars Køber,Sanjay K Prasad,Jens Jakob Thune +10 more
TL;DR: In this post hoc analysis of the DANISH trial, ICD therapy was associated with survival benefit in patients with biventricular heart failure.

Verification of threshold for image intensity ratio analyses of late gadolinium enhancement magnetic resonance imaging of left atrial fibrosis in 1.5T scans.
Litten Bertelsen,Francisco Alarcón,Laura Andreasen,Eva Benito,Morten S. Olesen,Niels Vejlstrup,Lluís Mont,Jesper Hastrup Svendsen +7 more
TL;DR: Analysis of LA LGE with image intensity ratio (IIR) (pixel intensity of atrial wall normalized by blood pool intensity) provides an objective method to obtain quantitative data on atrial fibrosis and showed significantly higher degrees of fibrosis compared to both groups with younger individuals.
