Nocturnal non-invasive ventilation in COPD patients with prolonged hypercapnia after ventilatory support for acute respiratory failure: a randomised, controlled, parallel-group study
F.M. Struik,Roy T.M. Sprooten,Huib A. M. Kerstjens,Gerrie Bladder,Marianne Zijnen,Jerryll Asin,N.A.M. Cobben,Judith M. Vonk,Peter J. Wijkstra +8 more
TL;DR: It is found that there is no reason to believe the NIV was not effective since daytime PaCO2 and night-time PCO2 improved and HRQL showed a trend in favour of NIV, and the trend for improvement in HRQL favouring NIV should be explored further.
Investigation and management of residual sleepiness in CPAP-treated patients with obstructive sleep apnoea: the European view
Sonya Craig,Jean-Louis Pépin,Winfried Randerath,C. Causse,Johan Verbraecken,Jerryll Asin,Ferran Barbé,Maria R. Bonsignore +7 more
TL;DR: The potential prognostic significance of E DS in OSA patients at diagnosis is discussed, the prevalence and predictors of residual EDS in treated OSA Patients, and the evolution of therapy for EDS specifically for Europe are discussed.

Jaime K. Devine,Lindsay P. Schwartz,Steven R. Hursh,Jerryll Asin,Nico de Vries,P E Vonk,Annemiek Vermeeren,Claire E H M Donjacour,Frederick Vinckenbosch,Johannes G. Ramaekers,Hennie C. J. P. Janssen,Grace Wang,Dan Chen,Lawrence P. Carter,Sebastiaan Overeem,Gert Jan Lammers +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explored the use of the Sleep, Activity, Fatigue, and Task Effectiveness (SAFTE) model to model performance based on accumulated sleep and circadian variability using psychomotor vigilance task (PVT) data collected during clinical studies.
