Double formation de voies pour la séparation et l'identification d'ondes : applications en contexte fortement bruité et à la campagne FAF03 Double Beamforming for wave separation and identification : robustness against noise and application on FAF03 experiment
Barbara Nicolas,Ion Iturbe,Philippe Roux,Jerome Mars +3 more
- 01 Jan 2008
TL;DR: This paper proposes a new method : time-delay double beamforming (on the source and receive arrays) which allows wave separation and extraction of the information required for the tomography.

Source localisation in deep water using waveguide invariant distribution
Julien Bonnel,Barbara Nicolas,Jerome Mars,Dominique Fattaccioli +3 more
- 05 Jul 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to estimate the waveguide invariant in deep water in a propagation channel, which can be viewed as a three dimensional distribution depending on frequency, on central mode and on number of modes considered.

Direction-of-arrival, direction-of-departure and travel-time sensivity kernels obtained through double beamforming in shallow water
Florian Aulanier,Barbara Nicolas,Philippe Roux,Jerome Mars +3 more
- 20 Jun 2011
TL;DR: In this article, a first order Born approximation of the Helmholtz equation is used to derive the link between the variations of the sound speed distribution and the received signal, and a first-order Taylor development in the signal space leads to a linear relation between the received signals and the measured travel-time, eception angle and emission angle of each acoustic path after double beamforming.

ALMA 2015: Sea Trial of an Underwater Target Localization Technique Using Hausdorff Distance
Pedro Eugenio Martins de Magalhaes,Xavier Cristol,Cornel Ioana,Dominique Fattaccioli,Jerome Mars +4 more
- 28 May 2018
TL;DR: A new matching method based on a metric called as Hausdorff distance as a cost-function to be minimized is proposed and tried, in order to perform the localization inversion of an acoustic underwater source, with very satisfactory performance and accuracy.
Robust Underwater localization for Ultra Low frequency sources in operational context
Maciej Lopatka,Barbara Nicolas,Grégoire Le Touzé,Xavier Cristol,B. Chalindar,Jerome Mars,Dominique Fattaccioli +6 more
- 22 Jun 2009
TL;DR: The feasibility of the method in shallow water for different operational c onfigurations with known and unknown sources is validated and the performance and robustness of the loca lisation is very satisfactory even for low Signal to Noise Ratio.
