Handover from a microcell layer to a macrocell layer in a two-layer cell of a telecommunication network
Jacques Antoine,Armelle Wautier,Jerome Brouet,Patrick Charriere +3 more
- 02 Sep 1999
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method of communicating with a mobile station in a cell of a cellular telecommunication network having a microcell layer with a plurality of microcells each comprising at least one relay station and a macrocell layer having a macro-cell covering a pluralityof microcells, the number of which is a cardinal number at least equal to two.

Compression of associated signaling for adaptive multi-carrier systems
Hang Nguyen,Jerome Brouet,Vinod Kumar,Thierry Lestable +3 more
- 17 May 2004
TL;DR: An adaptive lossless compression system for an optimized compression performance and complexity is proposed, giving much higher compression ratio than the existing LZW bit loading algorithm.

Optimum channel selection strategies for mobility management in high traffic TDMA-based networks with distributed coverage
Patrick Charriere,Jerome Brouet,V. Kumar +2 more
- 17 Dec 1997
TL;DR: This paper focuses on this last issue and several procedures performing best server-relay selection based on uplink signal measurements in an urban Manhattan-like environment are analyzed.

Method for transporting real-time data on a radio packet communication network
Jerome Brouet,Nicolas Paul,Carine Thirouard +2 more
- 13 Jul 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for transporting real-time data from a transmitter to a receiver on a radio packet communication network is proposed, comprising the steps of: generating, at the transmitter, real time data frames, comprising at least two bit portions; selecting said first bit portion and submitting it to a first modulation and coding scheme providing an error-resistance higher than an errorresistance threshold; selecting the second bit portion, and submitting them to a second modulation and code scheme providing a lower error-resolution lower than the threshold.

Wireless mobile terminal and telecommunication system
Marceau Coupechoux,Jerome Brouet +1 more
- 15 Mar 2005
TL;DR: In this paper, a wireless mobile terminal determines a size of an advertised window depending on the current data rate of a wireless downlink transmission and determines the size of the advertised window.
