Use of fumagillol and derivatives thereof for preparing medicaments against intestinal infections
Jean-Michel Molina,Francis Derouin +1 more
- 26 Mar 1996
TL;DR: The use of fumagillol and the esters formed by fumagi and saturated or unsaturated (C1-C12)alkylcarboxylic acids, and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, for the preparation of medicaments for combating intestinal infections caused by microsporidia and/or cryptosporidia as discussed by the authors.

Efficacy and safety of raltegravir in treatment-experienced HIV-1-infected patients switching from enfuvirtide-based regimens: 48 week results of the randomized EASIER ANRS 138 trial
S. Gallien,Joséphine Braun,Constance Delaugerre,Isabelle Charreau,Jacques Reynes,François Jeanblanc,Renaud Verdon,Pierre de Truchis,Thierry May,Isabelle Madelaine-Chambrin,Jean-Pierre Aboulker,Jean-Michel Molina,B. Balkau,M. Bourlière,Vincent Calvez,M. Korzek,Daniel Sereni +16 more
TL;DR: In well-suppressed patients with multidrug-resistant HIV infection, a switch from enfuvirtide to raltegravir is generally well tolerated and has sustained antiviral efficacy when combined with a potent background regimen.

Increased lung neutrophil apoptosis and inflammation resolution in nonresponding pneumonia.
I. Moret,M.J. Lorenzo,B. Sarria,E. Cases,E. Morcillo,M. Perpiñá,Jean-Michel Molina,Rosario Menéndez +7 more
TL;DR: After 72 h of treatment, an increased basal alveolar neutrophil apoptosis might contribute to downregulation of inflammation and to faster clinical stability and a significant correlation was found for systemic IL-6 and IL-10 with days to reach stability and length of stay.

Quantification of HIV-1 virus load under zidovudine therapy in patients with symptomatic HIV infection: relation to disease progression.
Jean-Michel Molina,Françoise Ferchal,Sylvie Chevret,Véronique Barateau,Christelle Poirot,Frédéric Morinet,Jacques Modaï +6 more
TL;DR: Plasma viraemia and ICD-p24 Ag, while providing useful short-term markers of zidovudine antiviral activity in vivo, do not correlate with disease progression in patients with advanced HIV infection.

Failure of rituximab in human immunodeficiency virus-associated multicentric Castleman disease.
TL;DR: Two human immunodeficiency virus‐infected patients who needed etoposide therapy to control exacerbations of Castleman disease received four infusions of rituximab, and their relapses occurred in both patients 4 and 24 weeks later and were associated with a worsening of Kaposi sarcoma.
