Patent
Systems and methods for formation and harvesting of nanofibrous materials
David S. Lashmore,Joseph J. Brown,Jared K Chaffee,Bruce Resnicoff,Peter L. Antoinette +4 more
- 17 Jul 2006
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a system that receives nanomaterials, forms nanofibrous materials therefrom, and collects these materials for subsequent applications. But the system is coupled to a chamber that generates carbon nanotubes produced from chemical vapor deposition, and includes a mechanism for spinning the nanotsubes into yarns or tows.

Injector Apparatus and Methods for Production of Nanostructures
David S. Lashmore,Jared K Chaffee,Mark Schauer +2 more
- 17 Jun 2008
TL;DR: In this paper, an apparatus for use with a reactor for synthesis of nanostructures is provided, which includes a chamber having one end in fluid communication with the reactor and defining a pathway along which a fluid mixture for the synthesis of nanoparticles can be injected into the reactor, and a mechanism is further provided at a distal end of the chamber to minimize turbulent flow as the fluid mixture exits the chamber, and to impart substantially laminar flow thereto.

Systèmes and méthodes de formation et recueil de matériaux nanofibreux
David S. Lashmore,Joseph J. Brown,Jared K Chaffee,Bruce Resnicoff,Peter L. Antoinette +4 more
- 17 Jul 2006
TL;DR: In this article, a chambre qui produces nanomateriaux, usuellement des nanotubes de carbone par depot chimique en phase vapeur, comporte un mecanisme de filage transformant les nanotsubes en fils et câbles.
