Deposits of clastic carbonate-dominated (calciclastic) sedimentary slope systems in the rock record have been identified mostly as linearly-consistent carbonate apron deposits, even though most ancient clastic carbonate slope deposits fit the submarine fan systems better. Calciclastic submarine fans are consequently rarely described and are poorly understood. Subsequently, very little is known especially in mud-dominated calciclastic submarine fan systems. Presented in this study are a sedimentological core and petrographic characterisation of samples from eleven boreholes from the Lower Carboniferous of Bowland Basin (Northwest England) that reveals a >250 m thick calciturbidite complex deposited in a calciclastic submarine fan setting. Seven facies are recognised from core and thin section characterisation and are grouped into three carbonate turbidite sequences. They include: 1) Calciturbidites, comprising mostly of highto low-density, wavy-laminated bioclast-rich facies; 2) low-density densite mudstones which are characterised by planar laminated and unlaminated muddominated facies; and 3) Calcidebrites which are muddy or hyper-concentrated debrisflow deposits occurring as poorly-sorted, chaotic, mud-supported floatstones. Die Innovationsfahigkeit eines Unternehmens hangt heute masgeblich davon ab, Kunden und andere Wertschopfungspartner in das Innovationsmanagement zu integrieren. Von diesen Anspruchsgruppen geht auf Grund ihrer Produkterfahrung und ihres Produktverstandnisses ein groses, oft noch nicht gehobenes Innovationspotenzial aus. Das Projekt GENIE (Gemeinschaftsgestutzte Innovationsentwicklung fur Softwareunternehmen) erforschte in diesem Zusammenhang uber drei Jahre hinweg Wege, virtuelle Innovationscommunities im Internet systematisch gestalten, aufbauen und betreiben zu konnen. 
 
Im Mittelpunkt stand dabei die Verbesserung der Innovationskraft von Softwareunternehmen durch die Integration von Kunden und anderen Wertschopfungspartnern in die Innovationsentwicklung. Auf einer IT-basierten Internetplattform und in Offline-Settings werden durch die Community-Mitglieder gemeinschaftlich Innovationsideen generiert sowie kollaborativ weiterentwickelt. Dieser neuartige Ansatz eines gemeinschaftsgestutzten Innovationsmanagements umfasst Modelle, Methoden und Werkzeuge fur den Aufbau und das Management von Innovations-communities sowie zu deren Einbindung in den Innovationsprozess von Softwareunternehmen. 
 
Das Projekt bundelt die Kompetenz wichtiger Wissenstrager aus der deutschen Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft in den relevanten Teilgebieten der Wirtschaftsinformatik und des Innovations- und Technologiemanagements. Durch die integrative Betrachtung von Technologie-, Pilotierungs- und Betreiber-Konzepten wurde auf Basis dreier Feldtests eine Reihe von uber die Domane der Softwareentwicklung hinaus ubertragbaren Erkenntnissen erarbeitet.

Inactivity is the most widespread health risk factor in modern societies today, causing not only individual health problems but also immense costs for the healthcare systems This emphasizes the need for improving population-wide impact of activity interventions, with particular attention to costeffectiveness, scalability, and delivery channels In this paper, we present the theory-motivated design (drawing on the transtheoretical model) and empirical test of an IT-based physical activity programme (Personal Health Manager, PHM) In order to be as cost-effective as possible, the PHM was designed to have only few face-to-face contacts and to deliver supervision through the internet Our design and implementation proved to be successful in a pilot test with 88 employees of an automotive company The PHM increased participants’ activity, motivational readiness for change, functional capacity and transported the feeling of being well taken care of Enhanced supervision did not increase performance The results are first evidence that internet-mediated supervision can be successful in promoting physical activity and provide a starting point for investigating the role of faceto-face-contact and service levels in physical activity programs The PHM and similar designs are also relevant to practice as the semi-automation makes them eligible for large-scale corporate or public health programs
