Recovery of planetary images by speckle imaging.
James W. Beletic,Richard Goody +1 more
TL;DR: Two simple models of speckle imaging are led that involve neither details of the recovery procedure nor of the atmospheric behavior (except for the size of the seeing disk) and are governed by a dimensionless ratio that involves all parameters relevant to the process of image restoration.

Deterministic photon bias in speckle imaging
TL;DR: In this paper, the photon bias is shown to be a deterministic quantity that can be calculated without use of the expectation operator, and the derived quantities are identical to previous results and extend them to the important case of the bispectrum where photon events are assigned different weights.

Influence of atmospherically induced random wave fronts on diffraction imagery : a computer simulation model for testing image reconstruction algorithms
Richard Barakat,James W. Beletic +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a two-dimensional computer-simulation model based on the rigid constraints of optical diffraction theory with careful attention paid to the generation of sample realizations of Gaussian-distributed, spatially random, isotropic wave fronts that have zero-mean and prescribed-covariance functions was developed.
