Influence of stray light on visible spectroscopy for the scrape-off layer in ITER
Shin Kajita,E. Veshchev,Steve Lisgo,Roger Reichle,Robin Barnsley,Michael Walsh,A. G. Alekseev,A. V. Gorshkov,Dmitry Vukolov,James Stuber,Simon Woodruff +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of stray light for visible spectroscopy of H? and Be?I emissions in ITER was investigated with a ray-tracing simulation, and it was found that the stray light would always more than one order of magnitude greater than the real signal intensity for H? emission from the scrape-off layer (SOL).

Adiabatic Compression of a Compact Torus
S. Woodruff,James Stuber,C. Bowman,Paul Sieck,Paul Melnik,Carlos Romero-Talamas,J. B. O'Bryan,R. L. Miller +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a design point is presented for a prototype fusion neutron source for waste transmutation (n/s), based on the adiabatic compression of a compact torus (spheromak).
