Ablation characteristics of an aromatic thermosetting copolyester/carbon fiber composite:
TL;DR: In this article, stable aromatic thermosetting copolyesters (ATSPs) were used as a matrix for high-strength carbon fiber composites and the ablation characteristics of these composites were characterized using a high-power laser.

Aromatic thermosetting copolyester foam core and aluminum foam face three-layer sandwich composite for impact energy absorption
TL;DR: In this article, a three-layer sandwich composite structure with an aromatic thermosetting copolyester (ATSP) foam core with two aluminum foam face layers joined together by an in situ generated foaming mechanism was introduced.

Sol-gel route to high Tc ceramic precursors
T. Karis,James Economy +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an aqueous sol-gel procedure to obtain fine Y-Ba-Cu particles with an approximately 1 2 3 stoichiometric ratio is described, which involves precipitating a solution of the oxides in HCl by neutralization with Ba(OH), and precipitation of BaCO{sub 3} from solution with CO{sub 2}.

Polymerizable acetylenic oligomers
James Economy,Mary Ann Flandera +1 more
- 20 Mar 1980
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used triethynylbenzene with an oxygen-carrying, amine-basic cupric salt complex catalyst in the presence of a molar excess over the monomer of an aromatic monacetylenic capping agent.
