Identification of human UDP-glucuronosyltransferase enzyme(s) responsible for the glucuronidation of ezetimibe (Zetia).
Anima Ghosal,Neil Hapangama,Yuan Yuan,Joana Achanfuo-Yeboah,Robert M. Iannucci,Swapan K. Chowdhury,Kevin B. Alton,James E. Patrick,Shmuel Zbaida +8 more
TL;DR: This study identified the isoform(s) of human liver and intestinal UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) enzymes responsible for the glucuronidation of ezetimibe and identified the main circulating metabolite of this drug in human plasma, SCH 60663.

Pharmacodynamic interaction between the new selective cholesterol absorption inhibitor ezetimibe and simvastatin
Teddy Kosoglou,Ingo Meyer,Enrico P. Veltri,Paul Statkevich,Bo Yang,Yali Zhu,L. Mellars,Stephen E. Maxwell,James E. Patrick,David L. Cutler,Vijay Batra,Melton B. Affrime +11 more
TL;DR: The coadministration of ezetimibe at doses up to 10 mg with simVastatin 10 or 20 mg daily was well tolerated and caused a significant additive reduction in LDL-C compared with simvastatin alone, while reported side-effects were generally mild, nonspecific, and similar among treatment groups.

- 17 Dec 2001
TL;DR: In this article, a sugar-substituted 2-azetidinone cholesterol-lowering agent and a cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor were combined for the treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis.

- 26 Jan 1995
TL;DR: In this article, the administration of aerosolized particles of mometasone furoate in the form of dry powders, solutions, or aqueous suspension for treating corticosteroid-responsive diseases of the surfaces of upper and/or lower airway passages and lungs, e.g., allergic rhinitis and asthma is disclosed.

Short in vitro half‐life of thymopoietin 32–36 pentapeptide in human plasma
TL;DR: The data imply that the pentapeptide, which is active in vivo, may rapidly trigger changes in responsive cells; sustained circulating levels may not be required for activity.
